Thanks John, exactly what I needed. Have you done any turning of larger diameter pieces with the axe at 90' to the bed? Kind regards Darragh Amateur turner in France

Just saw this for the first time, John. I'm just back from A&E.. Ten stitches after an exploding bowl took a slice out of my arm… buffing with the lathe going far too fast. Lesson sorely learnt.

Good review, I bought mine about 16 months ago and I think it’s great, yes it is weighty,nice and cool when it’s warm I received a spare set of filters with mine the only down side I feel is the price of the battery dock to charge an extra battery was extortion at around £45

My experience with this machine wasn't great, it broke frequently and while i have nothing but good to say about their customer support (very fast shipment of replacement parts or entire machine with no shipping cost) i would rather have a working machine. The fence setting mechanism is very well thought out, one of the best i have seen. Don't grab the infeed table or its handle, its prone to getting damaged. I got rid of the blade guard on the first day, its annoying as hell, has its upsides but i now have a bigger unit with american-style blade guard and its a night and day difference. When they replaced the whole unit i just sold it on the next day. Save up more money and buy a serious machine.

...thank you for the guick reponces/advice!... I like how this lathe has the motor off to the side...seems less likely to attract sa😮w dust as opposed to many other lathes where it is mounted under the bed.

Hi John, off topic and late. I got a Coronet 3weeks ago and I’m very pleased with it. One comment, the mains lead from the lathe to the EMC is very short, whilst the one from the EMC to the plug is long. This results in the EMC hanging in space. If you attach it to the bed it prevents you sliding the head. Any comments?
@basbarthen6 ай бұрын
I attached it to the motor with some ty-raps, so I can still slide and tilt the head.

Hi John. Great video, I made one about 5 years ago and use it quite a lot. I was trying to remember what it was called, came across your video, and ended up watching all of. Made me recall that it is not the easiest thing to make, and quite how Mr. Longworth thought it up in the first place😉. Anyway, I thought you did an excellent job, it all made perfect sense to me. One thing, did you locate the router, or did you cut freehand, following the lines? I can’t remember how I did it Many thanks Noel
