This is part 12 of my entry into the Great Guitar Build Off 2020 Unofficial challenge.
In this episode I am doing the final assembly, fitting the nut and seeing how it sounds!

Great guitar bud. Looks like you've clearly been watching Ben's video for years and bought a load of crimson gear as your vids clearly match Bens. You're a credit to his teachings. Were you a student too?

Thanks Mark. Yes I have watched Ben for years and he has been my inspiration and mentor. As a result I try and buy from Crimson when I can to show my support. Thank you! That is very kind of you. No I have never had the opportunity to be a student of his. I wish I had!

Thank you Huw!! Good question! I had to look it up. Apparently it comes from the German word noot which means slot. so there you go, we both learnt something!

Only your third guitar? I think I remember Ben Crowe saying he built six or seven guitars before he built a good one. Really beautiful job. Good luck in the GGBO unofficial.

What about graphite in the nut.. I love Marmite and your build. Great finish, the extra copper sheet made all the difference.

I've seen it done, so don't quote me. Take some graphite from a pencil lead and put it into the groove before placing the string in place. Did a Google search.
