Sounds great in theory, but the problem is that most of the data is trash because the algorithm has not yet any idea what it actually is supposed to analyze…

I would have to politely disagree. To validate how accurate the Garmin data is, every time someone becomes sick, ALL of the metrics pick up on it. When someone has food poisoning, it picks up on it every time. So to say that the analytics doesn't know what to analyze is a false statement. Thank you for watching and commenting!

@@CoachRobbBeams I would have to politely disagree with that as well. My first time with Covid, it would not detect it until day four. To be fair, the tests were negative, too, maybe due to the recent vaccination. But the symptoms were there already, and my Fenix would keep telling me that I was ready to train. It often is accurate, but just go and have a leg workout that gets your muscles very tired and go for a run afterwards. Your watch will tell you that you suck, your training is worthless and that your VO2Max is decreasing. Even if you actually did the right things. I have tried listening to the algorithms, for a couple of years even. The result has been stagnation at best. I am back to improving my metrics (even the watch realizes that!) since I have been ignoring what ist says (currently „unproductive“, but VO2Max is rising)

@@CoachRobbBeamsit was interesting watching the numbers during and after a bout of COVID. Not good enough to predict it but I used it to gauge when I could start pushing myself again. Similarly when I broke some bones you could see my body battery and HRV tank. Also wear it while on my motorcycles so I could see my acceleration and rapid deceleration.
