Hi, Debbie. Thank you for your question. Now I have used acrylics before but never to paint landscapes or wet on wet like the ones I mostly do on my channel. But I do know it is indeed possible to use acrylic however you have to mix in what's called a "retarder" that keeps your acrylic paints wet for a longer enough period of time to allow you to blend right on the canvas like you see with oil mediums. This technique is called "wet on wet" because we depend on our canvas staying wet during the duration of when we paint. The idea is to paint wet layers on top of wet layers, which can be difficult to do if we use acrylic mediums which tend to dry very fast since they are water based. Golden and Liquitex are the biggest brands on the market right now which have retarders that you can purchase to mix in with your acrylics, however I don't have personal experience with them. Hope this helps and let me know how it works out for you if you decide to look into it and try it out.

@@noelslofar2670 Thank you! I appreciate the feedback and support. There’s no reason anyone can’t paint something great. But if you’re looking for the same tools and materials I use, they’re all pretty big name brands you can find off of the internet. The brushes I use are natural bristle haired. And the Winsor and Newton paints I buy from an art store that we have here in New York called, Michaels. I’m not sure where you’re from so they may or may not have that art store based on your location.
