Edmund tried to Play more Forehand vs Forehand and as he was actually more dominant Dimitrov tried to Play backhands where it wasn't really helpful and he made alot of Errors.

U dont have to underestimate his achievements and hard-work! Having 8 titles and 2 from ATP 1000 (one of these 2 is the most elite trophy in the tennis world,even Nadal dont have it) is not little achievement and its not easy to win such a big titles,more will come with the time! This is very good for him and i think he will become even better player in the future! Dont forget that last year was great for him and he achieved a lot within winning 2 big tours and 2 smaller trophies,he won 4 titles in total last year and this is a lot!!!
