A magazine that I think I am going to read from next month is: Solarpunk Magazine. They have four issues out and it looks like the first issue came out this year. And I think I need some happy scifi in my life :)

@@KristenelleSFFReader It's OK, the e has a bit lower sound so you can lean on the "ei" vowels and say them a bit longer.

I just recently kickstarted the Apex Magazine anthology, which basically bundles all the fiction they publish each year. :)

Also, I had a really good time with Augur Magazine. You do have to pay for it to read the whole thing, but it all goes to support the authors, since the whole magazine is run by volunteers.

What a cool idea for a video. As far as free ones go, I’m partial to Whetstone: Amateur Sword & Sorcery. For paid, Tales From the Magician’s Skull is exquisite. You can kinda see where my tastes lie with those. I do think something like Wyngraf will get more popularity in todays market. To be honest, I’m really put off my Uncanny, it’s probably all in my head but just comes off as “holier than thou” compared to some other magazines. They’re from my hometown though!

@@KristenelleSFFReader My brain has a tendency to avoid popular things, makes me a misfit but it’s probably only because Uncanny is good at churning out Hugo awards. Space unicorns are cool.

Great overview, but in big-3 paid mags you've missed Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and unlike Asimov's and Analog they continue having their shorter works among Hugo/Nebula/Locus nominees

Yea definitely F&SF magazine, despite its generic name and not exclusively SF, I actually do find them to have the best stories or at least my personal favorite each months. Definitely check them out if you can :)
