Like it or not. These guys have spent so much and dedication to get to the point they are at. Respect needs to be given. I do play guitar as well btw and have done so for 20 years

Broderick has an awsome technique and style but gus has the feel. Stop hating them.None of you can play as they do,no matter what you say.This is just a video, each one has much more to give than a simple ''friendly meet'' video. They didn't make this video to surprise thier fans, they made it so they can show their fans what their new work is about.

+Seven .Vega even his fingers were shivering at some moments. maybe he's a bit camera conscious or that stuff is really not meant for normal guitar playing. to top that, the delay was a bit too cranked which makes it more crappy in sound.

I like the camaraderie among todays shredders. Back in the 80's, at least in NYC, they were all trying to cut each other down. Like gunslingers. I was constantly approached by young kids trying to duel me backstage after shows. Lol I'm glad things are different now.

9 жыл бұрын
breathingreflection I agree. People like me who does not know where to put the pick while finger-picking would benefit from it massively. It is like inventing the slide and not turning it into a commercial product..

@breathingreflection9 жыл бұрын
Mycall1983 Found it. How do they feel on the thumb? Do you actually need more than one?
@Mycall19839 жыл бұрын
They take a bit of getting used to, both in comfort and technique, some people find it a bit of a challenge t change there technique a smidgen. I was lucky the way I do pinch harmonics and other things is the same with the pic clip as without, you won't know until you try. I wear the pic clip 90% of the time. My only warning is that it is definitely market towards picking not strumming, if you play lead a lot it's a GREAT tool but due to the angle the clip sits on you're thumb it makes strumming sound and feel very heavy especially if you use thick picks like a jazz iii. One is plenty I bought 5 because I wanted Chris's signature pick and signed patent, which you only get if you buy 5 or more. I have since sold most of my spares on though I will most likely keep one spare just in case.

Too much gain.
@endezeichengrimm9 жыл бұрын
***** Crunchy amp tones can get noisy. He should switch to EMG's.
@yogengrg76908 жыл бұрын
mainly because of his passive pickups. Passive pickups tends to be little more compressed, lower in output and yes noisier than the actives. Also I believe he had his gain high as well.

@jonnyquest87748 жыл бұрын
Talent is defined as natural aptitude or skill. People are definitely born with it. You could have 2 guys who practice the same thing, with the same amount of discipline, but one will be better than the other, because one is more talented than the other.
@wolfgang2007aaaaaaaa8 жыл бұрын
I suppose so. But if we are talking about the above video, I cannot stand Chris Broderick's playing, dont get me wrong he may be more 'talented' and is an awesome player. I just prefer Gus's approach, technique and choice of notes/licks. Whether you call that talent I dont know, all I know is that Gus's playing appeals more to me, but hey thats my opinion.
@jonnyquest87748 жыл бұрын

@Rapturo_to_YESHUA9 жыл бұрын
I like bass and guitar. They are like apples and oranges. Why use only one? I am no where near as good as these two but I play for enjoyment of making my own riffs, or soloing to songs on the radio, etc. Don't let someone else scare you away from playing guitar. Our mind can be our worst enemy when we let negativity sink in. Don't ever compare where you're at to where someone else is at. Playing instruments should be like creating our own world of sound, and someone else has their own world, not have both war against each other in comparison and ruin the other. :) Music is art for individuals to make themselves for enjoyment, not compare in some egotistical competition of pride.
