Great metal work !! I believe i read an articall quit a while back about a lot of these smaller companies buying up a lot of older toolings for stamping out replacement parts and they are getting worn out and they are not refinishing their dies, i worked at a shop where we had several people that worked on dies full time to maintain very tight quality standards, I believe quality will just get worse as it is very expensive to retool.I have replaced many replacement panels and it is laughable when you have to rework almost every piece.but you make it look easy !! Thank you again for another great video !

That was a really nice repair. Your customer is lucky to be able to get this car back together because, as you said, either not being able to get parts or have them so bad is going to make it impractical to try and do one of these restorations in the very near future.

That's crazy how bad of a part you got, things being made now are so crappy. Thank god you knew how to readjust it and make it fit, that would be a headache for a beginner trying to put on a part like that. Awesome job as always man 😃👍

Nice work there and just imagine if you could charge back the manufacturers of those poorly stamped part for the extra labor hours it takes to make them fit correctly. What's shocking is how they can take the time to setup a stamping plant and create parts that do not have correct radiuses and dimensions and not care about it. There is no pride in workmanship and no accountability and that is a toxic culture that's not generally acceptable in business. The only positive thing about it is that it can make you a better craftsman and it seems like they are counting on that. Keep rolling.....

Its a damn shame these Chinese repops suck so bad and it seems like they're getting worse over time. If only a company like AMD would make Impala stuff, they usually have good stuff for other cars.
