Even though she was manipulated by her father I still believe Carrie deserved a longer sentence because its not as if she didn't know what she was doing was wrong....she helped plan it, she helped in the act, and she helped attempt to cover it up. That deserves longer than three fucking years in my opinion.

Lloyd is so disgustingly manipulative my god. What a sick man, it’s terrifying that there are people out there like this just walking around acting normal. I feel sorry for all the girls, they were insanely brainwashed and abused (what Kari did was still wrong, horribly so). Also? This is why women (or other abused partners) are terrified to leave those kinds of situations/relationships. THIS kind of bs is what there is to be afraid of, ugh!

@@augustsbestieI just watched on other video from this chanel where a woman cheated on her husband and when he said he wanted a divorce she promise him she will do anything in her power so he will never be able to see his Kids again. She used him but he stayed an other year just for the Kids. When he asked again for a divorce She took a knive and murders her 2 Kids, who are 11 and 4. Why? She didnt want him to have the kids. And other case where a woman abused not only her first husband but also her second husband. She acussed both of them of SA just to make them look bad . When the second called the Police because SHE WAS HITTING HIM she cryed and manipulated the police and they always arrested the husband. She took away the son from the first husband and turned the kid against him. She kills someone just to try and blame the first husband also involving the their son who was around 10 btw. So I would say when it comes to abussive parents/ parteners gender doesnt matter. Man AND woman can be horrible human beings.

doesn’t life without parole seem a little harsh for a girl who’d been manipulated and abused by the killer from birth though? 1-3 years is definitely a surprisingly light sentence, but locking her up just as long as her father - i.e. forever - feels wrong, at least if she was telling the truth about only being an accomplice. but idk, this whole thing is a tragedy that never should’ve happened (and _wouldn’t_ have happened if lloyd hadn’t been a power-hungry lunatic, but, of course, he was - and probably still is). it’s such a shame that an innocent, and apparently very generous, woman devoted so much of her life to a relationship that turned out to not only be toxic, but deadly.

@@etoile-diaboliqueIn my opinion I don’t think anyone is forgetting, when it comes to divorce that happens A LOT mom shits on dad, dad shits on mom. Lots of kids have gone though this from a very young age “choosing a side.” And the biggest thing is she could’ve easily called 911 or 988 if she truly thought her dad was gonna off himself. Or they could’ve made arrangements to move in together so she could help her dad out around the house and with rent. She had other options. It doesn’t matter if she felt like didn’t because she did.

My father was exactly like this. A complete raging narcissist who manipulated my siblings and I into thinking our mother was awful (she wasn't the best but he was the devil), during their divorce. And once she was gone, who would've thought, he showed his true nature and did eveything he accused her of. Single-handedly destroyed my family, and our ability to trust people, as well as our mental health. These types of parents are vindictive and bring out the worst in others.

Did you know that this was recently defined as a type of child abuse? Also just for anyone who's potentially going through this and doesn't realize or will possibly go through this in the future- most of the time if a parent is trying to turn you against the other parent by talking shit or complaining about how awful they are, they are actually the one who's the awful one.

The things a lot of parents do for custody is disgusting. I’ve been through it all from a parent trying to pit his own kids against a mother (unsuccessfully), going around court orders, taking me and my siblings away from each other, and overall lying about us to make himself look better. The daughter is wrong for what she did, and I hope his father lives with that guilt for the rest of his life. Michelle didn’t deserve to be hated by her own child.

Hey! Quick correction from an alumna, RIT is actually in Rochester New York, not New Jersey. It's about an hour and a half or so from Corning. On a more eerie note though, it's wild to think Karrie is someone I could have interacted with at school since we attended around the same time. I remember seeing there was a 48 hours episode about this but I didn't realize how recent this was.

Listening to how Lloyd manipulated his daughters felt like listerning to my own story. My covert narcissistic father was exactly like him. My younger brother and I were brainwashed into loving him and only him and made to demonise my mother. As they got divorced the manipulation only got worse and my father also threatened to 0ff himself, blaming my mother for all his suffering. It was only after years of me blaming my mother for all his issues and mine that I saw the truth when he left us. I genuinely believe that if my brother and I were left with him for longer and the s3xual abuse he put me through didn’t come to light that the hate we showed are mother could have lead to her ending her own life. Sure I believe that Carrie is responsible but I also completely understand how brainwashed she would have been.

While I do think Karrie's sentencing should've been longer (maybe like 5-7yr) I do think she must have felt there were no other options. I mean, I'm sure she thought about how she would literally be the cause of her father's suicide, directly showing him that she valued her mother more, which would be a cardinal sin to everything she was fed.

Commenting before the actual story, I am a firm believer that while creators should be receptive to feedback on some things, many things should just be their own, like their filming set up. But that said, I like it, & I hope you love having your own place, that's such a great experience the very first time! And your merch is all very cool, I love the choices!

Hailey, the merch is so cute-I really love the behind you shirt!! Would you ever consider making a shirt or sweatshirt where the graphic on the back is on the front instead? I’d be very interested in that if you ever did!!
