2011 or so, I was working at the cold stone creamery in Medford Oregon. I helped a group of men with accents order some ice cream with some shots of espresso. They said they were a band. What band? Hammerfall. Later my friend killed me for not getting an autograph 😂

Daaaamn, that was badass. I'd probably flip it out If I encountered these guys in real life. I'm 25 and been listening to them ever since I was 12, and they have a very special place in my heart. I've heard maaaaany bands in my lifetime of listening to metal, but they, they will always be my number 1. I think I'd probably even cry If I encountered them in real life, because of the sheer amount of nostalgia their older songs give me, and the memories of how their music got me through some of the roughest times.

the song is catchy and has energy to it. only after paying attention to the lyrics do you realise they are exactly the opposite of the other bands with catchy songs. when I discovered the band it reminded me of soad because of that even though it sounded very differently.

man these guys were some of the first i explored on youtube with. i remember getting home from school and listening to hammerfall while finally playing my friday night games. twas some good times. lots of fun, awesome music. so happy they've been around for as long as they have. plus through them I found other great stuff like nightwish and sabaton, and so forth.

My point exactly! It's not about an epic fight, but about the refusal/inability to acknowledge his mistakes, mentioning also how heavy a burden it is(he hopes it's not too late to change, he tries and fails to change it repeatedly). This song surmises perfectly the weight of the Sin of Pride, which is a barely(if at all) hidden message that makes just that much more awesome and deep!

I have this now set as my Last Man Standing sound effect in Insurgency, when you are the last one in your team and you must finish the mission alone, against all odds. Since installing it, I've not lost as the last man, not a single time.

Oh my God this song is so beautiful yet it brings me manly tears of joy to my eyes because it's so powerful it makes me want to consider becoming the last Man standing just by fighting for my very life even if it means fighting for my loved one and defeating all of my fears enemies nightmares inner demons and even my dark side all at once
