HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY MICK JAGGER! I ruminate on the greatness of Mick at 80! Still making everyone else look slow! He won’t be around forever so go see the legendary artists before they are gone! The great music has passed. The true search for the musical sweet spot, the golden honey, the roots of all great music must be in the past. It all goes backwards.

True words, I grew up listening 2 the Stones...when I was 9/10 years old...I remember sitting on the front porch with my brother & dad (RIP) listening to the Stones & Beatles back in 1969/1970...Cheers, Greg 🙂

Excellent advice. Thanks to my Dad, I’ve been able to see the Stones around 10 times or so dating back to the Voodoo Lounge Tour. The excitement at every show since then is pretty much the same as what I felt like in ‘94. I had the pleasure to take my nephew (in his early 20’s) to his first Stones show on Charlie’s last run. He was just as excited and as blown away as I was back in ‘94.

I regret not going to see Sinatra. He still toured a bit when I was in college in the 90’s. I wish I’d have made that happen. To the contrary I did catch Johnny Cash in Vegas in the 90’s. I’m so glad I did. And I’m still working at it. I saw Neil Young a couple weeks ago and I saw 38 Special last night for the first time. The original singer at 70 still sounds fantastic. The rest of the band is good. All live vocals, all live instruments. It does not get any better!

Yes! I haven’t seen 38 special in years but they were always good. Johnny cash is a great show. So cool! Thank you for watching 🙏

I totally agree. I live two blocks from a great venue in CO and am going to see Buddy Guy this week for the same reason. ZZ Top the next week and Alice Cooper later in the summer because I never had the chance before. Last summer it was Sammy Hagar and George Thoroughgood. Have to see these guys before they are no more. Saw Les Paul before it was too late and am glad I did.

All these bands and people you name 3/4 of the way through all this is month by month. These people are at the tail very end of the career. They only have 10 years left. No they don’t not tour or maybe not even to live.

He’s right, I’ve been going backwards all my life when it comes to music in general! I mean the last 20 years musically is crap! Absolutely no substance whatsoever! So, if you can afford to shell out 4 or 5 c notes, or if you have to sell your car, or if you have to talk to your landlord that you’ll have his rent next month just to see these amazing old acts, which they are, then do it!!!! I was fortunate enough to see the Stones on the Voodoo Lounge tour in 94, same year saw Pink Floyd TWICE! Saw Robert Plant in 1990, with special guest Don Dokken. But, this guy is spot on!!!

I spent $350 to see the Rolling Stones in 2000 in Wichita Kansas at the University of Wichita the outdoor football stadium when they have the football stadiums been there forever but they don’t have football. They haven’t had it for 40 years anyway it was a fun show it was great but 350 bucks it’s pretty cheap. I was only four rows back now that take it is probably 1000.

At least $1000. But I’d rather spend that to see the stones than 5 other $200 shows you can see anytime. 2000 era stones were on fire !

50 times you’ve seen the Rolling Stones are you serious that’s crazy that’s a lot. Also, Axl Rose he raised the bar after the stones Guns N’ Roses did

Probably over 50. GnR def kept things going. Unfortunately Axl and Slash were apart for a long time. Plus they dont have the album catalog. But they were definitely in the running for a while. Stones also had been around 25 years before GnR appeared. But Axl had the swagger
