Just finished your book, loved it, thanks for sharing it with everyone. As a fan of most of the bands you worked with in the 80's/90's, I appreciated hearing all the crazy stories.

Everybody! Buy the book! It is OUTSTANDING!! I read it in one day. Best “rock bio” I’ve read in years, especially having grown up in the NY/NJ area in the late 80s.

You can’t wear a bottom rocker (the curved patch), one of the three patches that designate a full member of a motorcycle club (aka, “MC”. Another patch you’ll see in addition to the top rocker, middle patch, and bottom rocker). Though typically is reserved for a territory, it doesn’t matter what it says on the bottom rocker. Most 1% clubs will take offence and insist on removing it (and/or laying out a beating as part of this lesson). Cheers!

Since randomly discovering your channel about a week ago I've subscribed and binge watched every video. I'm leaving this comment here as a summation of my thoughts. Around 89-91 we most certainly occupied the same room, or passed in the street, or maybe sat at a table next to each other at Lox Around The Clock at 4 AM. I was just a young guy at the time who had moved to NYC, born a decade too late. Musically speaking, my spirit was inclined to the zeitgeist of the 70’s and early 80’s, though by the time I was finally old enough to move to NYC and get into the game the hard rock and heavy metal musical paradigm I had grown up with was quickly going the way of the dodo. My haunts were Limelight, L’Amour, The Scrap Bar, The Cat Club at 76 E 13th Street . . you know the places. I "studied" Metal Edge and RIP magazine, watched MTV videos to learn the “dress code” of the rock/metal scene.I played in a band, worked several menial jobs, roomed with other aspiring musician, photographers, and models. Any remaining portion of my money that was not spent on rent and food was depleted at clothing stores on 8th street in the Village and St Marks (flowered shirts, tight black pants, costume jewelry, Chelsea boots). One night at the Cat Club I met a girl who worked at MCA-Mechanic/Polygram. I ended up moving with her to North Hollywood. Got to hang with Jake E Lee and Ray Gillian, experience the Sunset Strip, take in the scene. So different than NYC. I remember seeing flyers on the street and ads in the Hollywood rags for Alive In Chains. I spent less than a year in Hollywood before returning East. In the short ensuing time the 80s paradigm was being swept away by the tsunami born of Nirvana’s Nevermind (Sept 91), grunge, and the Seattle scene. In the year preceding that I remember hearing about "Mother Love Bone," and how seemingly overnight people lost the hairspray, grew out their bangs, started wearing knee length legging, Dr Martins, and flannel tied around their waist. When grunge finally arrived in full force the kind of loud electric blues that expresses overt sexuality became forbidden (otherwise known as “rock and roll”). Technical guitar solos that swing and demonstrated cultivated chops were no longer cool. Singing about empowerment, joy, and happiness were not longer cool. By 92 I managed a personal training gym on 17th Street a few doors down from the Limelight. On Monday mornings on my way to train a client at 6 AM I'd walk past the "rock and roll church" and think of the bands I saw there, and all the smoking hot bridge and tunnel babes I'd banged. Your memories are precious to me. I'm now a 53 year man. While listening to you I feel like Lola, remembering the passions of my youth at the Copacabana. I hope you make money off your book, but also know that your memories have value that far exceeds that.

Was wondering if you heard the recent Bobby Blotzer interview that had a great follow up to your motley crue biting story Apparently during that same time frame Stephen Pearcy bit Ann Wilson & got kicked out backstage of a Heart show when they & Ratt crossed paths on tour

I actually saw an LA Guns Gold Record for sale at a record store in Charlotte back in the late 90s/early 2000s with the multiple formats represented in gold. It was a little more expensive than I could afford or I would have bought it

I didn't know they gave out gold cassettes. To have a set of an album, a cassette, and a CD. That has got to be one of the coolest pieces of rock memorabilia ever.
