I saw them opening for Skid Row in Copenhagen, and they just outplayed Skid Row. I was a huge Skid Row fan, but all I remember was the LA Guns performance. Opening with "Over The Edge" and the purple lights and the fog. Damn that was hard. Maybe the best show I've ever seen from any band, and I've witnessed Twisted Sister and Overkill first hand!

L.A.Guns fans go check out a band called The Brutialists. It's Mick Cripp's band with his brother and Guy from the London Quireboys. Good old fashion British Punk Rock🖤🖤🖤

What this guy is saying about the disloyal treacherous integrity challenged Tracii Ulrich, aka Guns is all true. The guy abandoned his band LA Guns multiple times already over the years yet all his so called fans either ignore his disloyalty and flakiness or just don't get it. The guy doesn't care about anybody but himself. And making money at everyone else's expense. He screwed over poor Paul Mars Black (former singer in the band who was instrumental in keeping the band afloat for years and writing majority of the material they stole and used on their first album) a few times already. Tracii (and other members) stole his music, his career hopes, and his trust on a few occasions. DO NOT trust Tracii or Phil Lewis. Because Lewis has also stolen music from Black (then proceeded to change lyrics and call it his own) and other artists. There are reasons why there have been SOOO MANY past lineups/ band members in this band. And why they (and their record labels) have blatantly rewritten their own past/history to cover their asses for all the horrible things they've done to guys who they used and then moved on from...>

I just stumbled onto this and I LOVE it! I was born in 1967. I'd like to add a personal opinion regarding music and radio in Our time versus now. I think that the ability to hear any and every song today is overwhelming. The joy of hearing on the radio that one of your favorite bands was releasing a new album the following weekend, and then going to buy that album and listening to every song is gone. The joy of waiting, and the anticipation is what made music great! The joy of buying a Hit Parader magazine on Friday and seeing pictures of your favorite artists and hopefully finding an interview with them was magnetic. The joy of seeing your favorite movie star in a picture was exciting. And maybe it's just me, but I miss not knowing EVERYTHING ABOUT my Idol's lives. They seemed bigger back then. It was glamorous and fascinating. Patience is a virtue that is rewarded with pure glee, but there is no more patience, because its no longer necessary. I find it sad. Be well.

LA guns was a band that I got into when I was 13 or so. I don’t remember which song or how but their first album was just killer to me and the rest just followed. LA guns was a staple of my childhood and I’m grateful for that. I really am.

21:32 This statement right here is the core and I agree 100%. This reminds me exactly of my family's history. People do stupid things and people never forget it all the while certain personalities refuse to allow conflict resolution through verbal means. There are some who love to mentally suffocate you. I'm turning 50 in a couple of months, and there is still resentment floating around the family from things that happened a full ten years before I even showed up. A rock band is exactly the same and probably worse because everything is revolving around money.

I lived at Speaks from 1978 -1983ish. No picture on the paper ID and my friend Andre Gregoretti was the doorman so I was in at 15. Twisted sister and Zebra and the Good Rats ( I believe) I remember being the last night it was a Rock and Roll club and they were remodeling to reopen as a dance club Blondie etc... Used to frequent Hammerheads and Malibu and 231 also. Basile had me tossed and warned one night when i got involved with a wiseguys daughter. Freedom came with a cost but it was a price worth paying to my mind. There is no soul left in anything these days

Very interesting stuff. I've loved this band since I was a kid (Cocked And Loaded days), and somehow, they still capture my imagination even as other bands of the day have faded into the background. They've always struck me as a rough ride, just based on the lineup changes that started in the mid-'90's. It's a shame: Man In The Moon and especially Waking The Dead were so good, but things fell apart again. What about that book, man?

Wow, this bring back memories! Growing up in 80s in north Texas, my buddies and i would get a case of beer and drive out of town into the country on a Saturday night and find that "sweet spot", where the car radio could pick up signals from Dallas..Q102 and KZEW!! They would play all the great rock and metal that we would read about in magazines! We'd roll down the windows, crank up the radio and lay on tbe hood. Every so often, we would have to move the car a little bit to pick up the signal better! Man, those were the best times!

I wonder if the next show was supposed to be in green bay. My friends and I had tickets. We got the the venue ( Riverside ballroom) . There was a sign on the door saying the show was canceled. No explanation. I heard later that the VVI band was in town. Staying at the holiday in. But no LA Guns. I've always wondered what happened? Now I know. Thanks for sharing your story. 😊

(MC) Bones aka Mike Gersema replaced Steve Riley after Hollywood Vampires. The LA Guns drama never ceased in the subsequent years either. It's amazing to me that to this very day even after Steve Riley passed away that there's still two incarnations of the band and who knows how many past members at this point
