After all these years I still prefer a magneto, no batteries to replace and reliable. Back in the day, many people blamed the Magneto for hard starting, but in fact it was the tilloston priming issues. The magneto is really a great feature and I love it! That’s why I made the tilloston tickler kit videos part 1 & 2.

I had a 44vm Mikuni with a velocity stack so I would just stuff one of my gloves in for a choke.,2 kicks and pull the glove out. Your hand would smell like gas for a couple miles but I always smelled like one thing or another back then.

@@briana3467 Speaking of carburetors, I used to have a big Weber with two velocity stacks sticking way out there on my 63 XLCH when I was a kid. I remember riding with my right leg on a 45 degree angle because that big Weber was in the way. I never did get that carb dialed in. Looked great but not practical. Happy New Year!
