This showcase was excellent. But man, Espinas was a real wildcard. We haven't had a frontier monster in the main series since lavasioth and hypnocitrice.

I would like to note a few things. Not only is Gore back, Not only is Espinas back, but this trailer does in fact confirm the return of our very own Caravaneer. The caravaneer and Guildmarm armor are seen in the combat against Gore. Needless to say, I’m very happy. For note about Espinas, It can inflict Fireblight, Poison, and Paralysis… at the same time. My top 3 monsters of all time are all in the same game now. Steve, Gore, and Mizu. My bois are all together. Considering I love temnocerons too, Pyre Rakna Is a treat aswell.

I'm honestly more excited than I was for Iceborne :D Espinas is the Rathalos Equivalent Flagship to Frontier as Series Flagship and is lethal with Fire, Poison AND Paralysis to it's Arsenal.

Rare species are essentially a subset of subspecies (ie. Lucent Narga, Molten Tigrex, metal Raths etc.) Special species were a part of Monster Hunter Explore and a lot of em were really cool Espinas is straight out of frontier which is huge since we haven't had a frontier monster join the main series since Lavasioth (mainly due to Frontiers community outcry at the time that they wanted frontier monsters to stay exclusive but with frontier now shut down, they can make a return without outcry). It also opens the door to games like explore. All bets are off now. Anything can happen

I'm a chill person, I've literally never reacted to something and yelled/stood up from excitement. So seeing your reaction to Gore is hilarious to me lol. I can't to fight him in a modern setting though. Though I will say, as someone whose only fought him in GU, I do hope they do something with his Frenzy virus that affects other monsters, cause I would prefer that over him just being here for the sake of it, because honestly I thought his fight was just alright in GU.

TBH, Gore and Espinas look really good in the RE Engine And yes Frontier monsters to my knowledge have always been very crazy, so to say. With Espinas for example being able to deal burn, paralysis, and poison at the same time. For elder dragons that Frontier created, there was one that used the Zinogre skeleton and was essentially Todoroki from MHA, another Elder that used liquid mercury, and one that can control magnetism. For Frontier weapons, I believe prior to the charge blade being added to the weapon roster, they actually made 2 weapon types that haven’t really existed outside of Frontier yet, those being the tonfas and the magnet spike, with the latter being unlockable after fighting the magnet dragon Elder dragon.

This entire trailer had me screaming. First they showed me Gore Magala, then they showed me Lucent Nargacuga?! Lucent Nargacuga hasn't been seen in a mainline game since MH3U, its debut game, so this has me *more* than hyped!

Ngl, to me Espinas and Gore Magala are definitely the highlight of Sunbreak, With Espinas finally joining the main series there could be some chance that others from Frontier series might also coming in the future and with Gore Magala getting in Rise the chance that Shagaru and Chaos Gore Magala that is his more evolved version might also make an appearance.

Something I wanna point out, in the fall update a lot of people are saying it looks like rathalos. However, when looking at the head it looks a bit too puffed out and pointy to be a rathalos even while flying. And if we assume that the other half of it isn’t a monster but a tail it looks even less like a rathalos.

MH4U was my first monster hunter game and I love Gore Magala, I'm so glad he's back, Espinas also looks pretty cool. Also, I can't overlook what appears to be a new charge blade silkbind when the hunter leaps into the air and does an aerial slash with the spinning axe, and if this really is a new silkbind maybe all the weapons will have some other silkbinds that weren't mentioned yet

Man really didn't recognize Frontier's flagship monster lmao. No really though, for all the newer or less knowing players out there, note that in comparison to Gore, Espinas actually has a massive echoing effect on the series by being reintroduced. Gore is cool, but not at all that big of a deal. Espinas being here, however, is literally series changing. This is because frontier isn't really just a game, it's more like an entire branch of games that split off from monster hunter in second generation. So basically it's what current monster hunter could've been if going in a different direction. 89 unique monsters suddenly just being open for grabs by making this gigantic branch Canon via the flagships's representation is unexpected and insane. Can't say I haven't been waiting for this moment though, congrats my Frontier hunter Brothers, we've done it, *we've started our takeover of the main series monster hunter games.*

If you like frontier monsters I would recommend looking at duremurida. The hardest monster in frontier, that took weeks before the first kill on the servers. And has a very kickass theme too!

Rare species are things like the metal Raths and abyssal Lagiacrus, being exceedingly rare and seldom spotted. What I'm more curious about is the "special species" moniker, since the only game that used that term was the mobile game: Monster Hunter Explore (which had some seriously excellent monsters)
