Challenges playlist: • Hearts of Iron IV Chal...
The challenge is to play as Luxembourg and annex Germany. That will include political manouvering, sneak-attacks, paratroopers in China, all that stuff. There are a few ways you can do that and I tried to create a strategy that will surely bring us victory. Can Luxembourg beat the Germans? Tune in and find out. Yes, I know I spelled "Luxembourg" wrong at the end :(

Have you ever heard the tragedy of of Andorra the small country between france and spain? It's not a story a german would tell you, because we didnt know this country existed. Nonetheless, they declared war on us in world war 1 and were never mentioned in the treaty of versailes. So, technically the first world war ended 1958, when they decleared peace with germany. To this point, we didnt even knew they existed.

Well, historically, the entire world fighting them was needed to conquer germany, so if youre powerful enough to invade them alone, conquering the world one by one shouldn't be that difficult.

I've seen a couple of your videos now and I have to say that you really do something well, that many other KZfaqrs do wrong. You have earned my respect because you have respect for my time. I can imagine the work you have to put into those videos by recording a campaign, which might take around a week and then have to chop it down to something watchable, where only interesting and relevant content gets included. All in all - I want you to know that I appreciate the content you put up on the internet for your viewers, who you let vote on your next project. The interactivity is real and your voice quite soothing, providing entertaining videos in the end. Give it all and don't stop doing what you do - for it would be a real shame.

He often plays on maximum speed. So a campaign doesnt take a week but a few days. But I dont think he improvises the whole run. He often has to work a method out, which is really really time consuming. So although I dont think to record the video takes aa much time, the whole process certainly does.

16:20 Yeah... I hate how paradox does peace conferences.... countries that don’t capture anything can get a lot of warscore. One of my favorite scenarios is to play as Facsist USA and join the Axis. I will take Canada, Greenland, Iceland, and the British Islands, and sink hundreds of ships, all with no assistance from Germany or Italy... but during the peace deal the other axis nations usually get all of Great Britain and various other territories I captured, just cause they lost a million plus soldiers running into French forts, while my casualties were less than 50K It feels like minimizing your casualties is punished in this game

Thank you! You are the only other person I have ever heard who says minimizing casualties is punished! That's exactly why I never join the Comintern and let Russia join my war. They literally just let millions die while I do literally all of the work, and then take over everything.

For real, I know it's an old thread but this pissed me off so much. Played as Japan last week and didn't get the events for the war in China, so I navaled Indonesia and captured it all. My units had no equipment and there's no supply and garbage terrain, so it took like 2 years. I captured Malaysia and was about to take Raj when the Allies capitulate. I got literally 0 states because the Italians and Germans were running headfirst into the Maginot for a year and a half, and they only got the win because by some miracle Italy naval-invaded the UK, while I only pushed when necessary and captured all of south Asia with ~50k losses. What really got me was I actually caused the same number of casualties as Italy, but they took 40x mine and got out easy. Ragequit and haven't gone back to the game.

1. Play as the Soviet Union 2. Don't do Stalin's Purge focus 3. Wait for the minor civil war 4. Use console to re-sit as Russia (military dictatorship under Konev ,non-aligned) 5. Win it WITHOUT switching idiology) 6. Optional: defeat Germany, without joining factions OR declaring any other war (Except Finland, because *rightful russian territory*)

I did the math with luxembourg's population in 1936, and with scraping the barrel, militarism and military youth, as well as the recruitable population granted with either mass assault or mobile warfare, discovered that the absolute largest amount of manpower that could be fielded by that single province alone is 110,000 Soldiers give or take a few thousand due to population growth. Just something i found interesting.

Of course it's possible... Granted I'm playing with nonhistorical, but even I a fairly mediocre player has managed to keep Poland alive through the use of alliances in a game I'm playing right now. Granted as soon as we managed to defeat Germany the Soviets invaded and they now hold most of my lands, but Poland still technically exists as they've reached a stalemate and are losing about 10x the number of troops we in the allies are...
