You used the wrong beans. American baked beans are sweeter, than English baked beans.

Yup, definitely need some Heinz baked beans next time. Try costplus or a decent grocery store. Also HP sauce if they didn't get it in the vid i'm only half way through and angry about the lack of real beans(a1 is a poor imitation although kind of close).

Heinz beans in the teal blue can in the International section of Publix. There are a few British markets in Tampa that have back bacon, real bangers, and blood sausage :)

We have American bacon in the UK, too. We call it streaky bacon. I think the best bacon is middle bacon cooked in the oven on baking paper, really renders out that fat amazingly.

you can find English bacon (the best bacon) online at most food suppliers that supply to super markets but it comes in bulk
