Do you like Nissan GT-R's? Do you like the practicality of wagons? Do you like extremely rare, forbidden JDM treasures? Well, have I got the car for you. This is a Nissan Stagea Autech 260RS, with a full R34 front conversion. It's one of the most impossibly cool cars that you can buy/make in Japan. What do you guys think of it?
By the way, this whole video was shot, edited and uploaded completely on my iPhone 11 Pro. What did you guys think of the video quality?

The stagea you had in front of you has the RB26DETT, however there is a RB25DET version too.

I love mine, 260rs series 2. They are lots of fun. My dog loves it too! Really recommend getting 1, but they are pretty bad on fuel around town. On the freeway pretty good.

It always was, since the stagea series share the same body with an r34 and I don’t believe Nissan would ever design a completely different engine since the RB26 at the time was made to complete perfection, I’m still going to acknowledge the RB26’s rival but in Nissan’s eyes, it was a perfectly design engine.

You said its an Autech right? They have a full GTR drivetrain and powertrain, also pretty sure they are R33 GTR wheels.

Thanks i have one imported it was ran on the wangan loop by its Japanese owner in the late 90s came from japan with 540hp rb25/26 (26 bottom end 25 head) loaded with trust defi etc branded parts kept it the same to preserve its vibe but turned up the boost

Az Froggie's RC and more you’ve got some nice rc builds on your channel you have good taste in vehicles keep it up It was about 5.6k back years ago in the time of all imports were at bottom price definitely opportunity and searching low/high played a part I think

I remember a few 260 RS selling for under 30 k here in New Zealand pre covid ,Iv got a RB25 DET in mi Stagea with 20 det box and i can fit my surfboards and sleep in it during summer at the beach,then winter i pull the motor and box out and put it in my 1989 C33 Laurel which got freshened over summer and i do the same to the Stagea over winter .

Autech, while a really cool name, didnt build cars. They did convertions of Nissan cars. Imho there S15, as my best example was just a striped down version on the surface and never looked as good as what the Red Stage offered. This Stagea looks awsome though, but then parts have been changed.

Autech comes with a nice bodykit, so its not just the spoiler. Been hunting for a stagea since I happend to own a R34 gt-r v spec 2 :) Gotta have a wagon too!

I prefer the standard front end on the stag. Also gtr has the rb26det so it's just a standard car with a few mods. I have an auto s1 stagea would love a 260rs but they are pricey

Steering wheel says rb25 auto so does the bodywork.. I think this is an rb26 plus manual conversion. When you start to get into high hp 600+ the extra weight becomes a bonus. Didn't get to see the brakes or anything detailed.

this car came with RB26DETT from factory and BCNR33 transmission. Brakes are Brembos from factory too (by factory, I mean Autech). Steering wheel says MOMO and airbag! Where did you saw that it is RB25 auto?

looks like an S1 260RS with a MASA front end and S2 taillights to me... though the VIN would be the best way to find out

Front bumper is aftermarket. And the Autech versions are 26DETT powered. Also noticed it has the auto dash cluster.

It's not cooler than a GTR, and it's not an R34 wagon. It's a Laurel chassis with R33 GTR bits tossed in. I own both. The Stagea is a cool car but will never touch a GTR.

Actually, you are right and wrong. It came from factory with the RB26DETT, but it's a heavy car, so it won't be faster than a real GT-R. not 32, but BNR34 GT-R front end from Masa Sports. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Stagea#260RS_Autech_edition
