I stay in port edward south africa. Any canned foods rusts. What i do is put the tins in sealed plastic bags(ziplocks). It workes perfectly. The bags can be used over and over and if any foods leaks it leaks in the bags. With every bag I put a square of paper towels with it. Works awesome to keep it dry. If you want any leavy veggies to stay fresh in the freezer. I use the ziplock bags with a dry paper towel with it. Can last a long time. Works awesome. Good luck and I love watching you guys. ❤

The kids are blooming and the phrase that fits best is ..Like Ducks to water... It may be a a duff connection or a minute bit of terminal corrosion to the back of youre depth instruments display.. Thats the problem with low power signal connections .. especially over time. Good work round till you can check or replace ...though it could still be duff ... the cact the LCD - - - indicats its getting power and the display isn't damaged..🤷🏻‍♂️ Looks like the Pacific heat bubble of el Nino is about to collapse this year .. switching to el Ninia so expect some instabillity in the Coastal Pacific areas while it rolls over.

In the countries I've sailed, if you politely ask at a fire station or estacion de bombas (still like that one), for a bit of used fire hose they've always given me some and usually too much. I give the rest away as anti-chafe.

My wife and I are doing this next year. Between selling our house, our business, and all our belongings we should have about $300k USD in cash. We plan on buying a mono sail boat as we are just 27 and 28 and have no kids. We want to spend roughly $50k on a yacht and save the rest. We are already preparing by dehydrating food and leftovers to bring with us, everything has about a 30 year shelf life when dehydrated.

We are catching back up with you guys. Been in Ukraine for approx 2.5 months and have been busy. We honestly missed seeing you and the kids. They are growing up so fast. I love seeing you both in action, as sailors. It is funny how you both exude sailing skills in such a nonchalant, passive kind of way. You make it look easier and you handle the "sailing" issues with solid solutions. Hey Mom, it is nice seeing you out on the water enjoying the sea live with the grand-kids.

The cleat with the stripped out stud is probably aluminum and the stud, stainless steel. No dissimilar metals are exempt from galvanic corrosion. When we build pumping stations in brackish water conditions, we even isolate 304 SS from 316 SS to prevent galvanic corrosion.

So I’m sitting on the back of my Lagoon 400 in Thailand watching and during an ocean “B” roll I heard seagulls, on the open ocean ? Nope then I noticed I have birds on my boat, so I went back to see if you edited in seagull chirps, yup you did. Today I sucked up a mooring line in my propeller, stopped the motor dead, so I changed motors and the belt blew, not a good day. To further my predicament my mast is off while the rigging is getting replaced. Neither motor, no sail, 20 knots, 1/2 nm offshore and getting blown onto Phuket, time to drop the anchor and fix stuff. REALLY !!!!!!!!!

Hey, please make sure to put something like "#ad" "sponsorship" etc in the video for your sponsorship segment at 7:40 - if you don't do that, you can get into all sorts of trouble for undisclosed advertising. Even if it's maybe not against the law in Canada (i wouldn't know), it is a problem in various countries where the KZfaq videos are shown (i.e. Germany) and so at the very least, YT is obligated to take down videos or restricting them if someone reports it
