Would love to see your entire system for breeding and raising hatchlings in detail. I want to increase my native green anole population around my house and knowing your husbandry techniques will help me create spaces for them to succeed in laying and providing food sources for the neonates.

Exactly. That looks like a pretty ethical breeding set up with a good combination between low maintenance cage care and actually giving the animals room to move. They could probably benefit from a few leafy hiding spots, but it does look good overall

Couldn’t you put something to replace the soil like wood chips so they can’t dig in it. And just grab like a small little pot and fill it with soil and that way they’ll just lay in there and make it easy to find the eggs.
@SemiAquaticExotics2 ай бұрын
Wood chips can cause many injuries and are unnatural, you'll never see an animal sitting on a pile of wood chips in the wild.

Now I understand why you did this way you did it. Because there's not enough time to do it in this video. But honestly if you had set up the vermiculite ahead of time. And then went in to your lizards enclosure. And just picked up each egg as you uncovered it. You wouldn't have to sit there and candle every single little egg because you roll them when you put your hand in and pick them up at once. And yes I understand there's a lot of eggs there. And I get that. But for the safety of the babies little tiny thing is growing in the eggs. I would have taken my time and picked up each egg separately. But then that's just me I know not everybody has the time to do that. And you said this video clip was uncut. I doubt that because there are a lot of jumps in this video clip to make it shorter.
