Siding with Autumn in 3 honestly would’ve been preferable to the Lyons chapter. Assuming Autumn really did want to build a nation, and not genocide wastelanders, he would’ve been much more effective and proactive against threats to the people of the capital than Lyons and his bleeding heart.

Now the problem is, fallout 3 never shows this to you in a meaningful way, you cant join him, he never tells you what he believes and most importantly its hard to see that he may have good intentions when he acts like a cartoonishly evil psychopath throughout all your interactions with him

I guess the reasoning for why the Enclave only had a few vaults is that they're a secret organization. They should still have facilities in the double digits though, and they should have command over any military or government facilities. Speaking of vaults and military facilities, I have no doubt that there are many vaults or bunkers reserved exclusively for the armed forces. We should be running into them in fallout 76 soon with expeditions, if one of my earlier videos is correct, then the random encounter soldiers are from these vaults.

Old world blue's- enclave reborn

If a Hearts of Iron 4 mod called "Old World Blues, and Enclave reborn" mods are to be considered Canon. Then the Enclave are divided into 2 political factions. The 'Purists' who want to finish what the original mission, and kill anyone who isn't pure human. And the 'Reformists' who want to reestablish the United States Government to what it was before the Great War. Again if you consider this canon then there is a glimmer of hope for the Enclave. Personally, I consider this Canon. Since I love the Enclave, and would want to learn more about the organization, and it's founding. I hope that a future Fallout game would have an joinable Enclave faction, or a splitter faction that I could join. Maybe, Fallout 5: Chicago? Detroit? Or Cleveland? He're hoping any way.

If they weren't spread out, they would have communication, but then the only Enclave would be those traitors on the rig. I would rather the Enclave be spread out and only have a small chance of each installation surviving than there being only one place to find them.

Bethesda's never seems to confirm whether creation club content is canon or not, but them incorporating that and vault tec workshop into full canon seems unlikely. The most likely option will be Bethesda creating a new Enclave bunker wherever they want the Enclave to be, and we're not going back to Boston anytime soon.

Regardless of how they were characterized in 2 there’s clearly something more to them.

Maybe a 3 way civil war. One side want to remake america from the ashes, reborn like a phoenix and fix what made America fall, even build a stronger civilization (they still will hunt down mutants, ghouls and such, but maybe been less triggerhappy and grant reserves in a similar way of today's natives condition and use them for when they need informations over places, structures or need to retrive stuff from highly irradiated places). The other could be the triggerhappy xenophobic ruthless warmongers wanting America for the Enclave, and even there divided between those who want to use Richardson's/Eden's FEV plan or those who are happy to take their time and be sure to exterminate everything. The third way would be a neutral/status quo faction, which would likely keep their low profile for as much time as possible, as they plan to wait and see how much it will take before the wasteland become devoided of all life, and meanwhile may search for Vaults to raid and take all GEKCs they can. Hell, they would probably be a "ghost" faction: everyone heard of them, everyone know them, but no one has seen a single.member and thing is just some voices to scare recruits.

Krash face I had an idea for a couple factions like this where a few military bases in near proximity of each other lost Contact with the main part of the enclave but overtime established communication with one another and formed a sort of United Nations style alliance with one another supporting each other but not joining up in one giant base but there’d be a conflict between two of the bases that are the most distant from the others in the collective where one had reestablished connection with the enclave back in cali and then becomes a mini version of that enclave being totally fascist and imperialistic and while not as brutal as the west coast enclave still discriminate against outsiders seeing them as mere tools whilst the other one hadn’t established communication with the other bases Bc they were told not to so they could conduct their vault experiments in the base which was to test the spread of political beliefs by mixing in normal people with no extreme beliefs making up the majority with extremists in all political views and there would be a vote held after a few years to see the most liked ideological belief and the winner would be used to help establish a new government around that ideology to help resettle the wasteland. This election would be rigged though where In case communism was the most popular among the population then the overseer would then report it to the commander of the base which would then cause him to send troops to kill those supporters and the next runner up would be chosen. Despite this though communism would come out on top in the vault(I don’t feel like going into detail though) and the overseer was in on it to prevent it’s stopping and eventually they were able to overthrow the commander of the base and be In control of the soldiers and establish a faction based off of communism but more closely aligned to Karl Marxs original idea as opposed to other communist dictatorships like Stalin’s also being imperialistic but this faction expands peacefully and helps and educates outsiders. These two based once communication is established would threaten to go to war with each other which the other bases don’t try and get involved simply just trying to calm down each side. This is Bc they’re just too scared to support one over the other as they don’t want to start a war as they think it’ll be too costly due to each other’s power and they also don’t want to eliminate both seeing that I’d be even harder to fight both of them off

Fallout 2's Enclave was completely against all mutation and would only accept "pure humans", while Fallout's 76's Enclave did experiment with desirable mutations, all of the obtainable mutations in Fallout 76 were created by the Enclave. As for Fallout 3's Enclave, they seem to recruit wastelanders, so they've dropped the xenophobic ideology towards everyone, but they most likely wouldn't want to alter the human genome any further.

@@TheOmegaInitiative Id argue that Fallout 3s Enclave is still very purist and that the recruitment of outsiders seen in it is not so diffrent from fallout 2 whose Enclave was willing to use wastelanders when useful such as that one New Reno Crime Family and Frank Horrigan who was a flat out super mutant, loyal pawn or not if they were not willing to stretch such at least in some sense already such would not exist even if they plan to backstab such later. As such the outsiders in Fallout 3 could very easily be in a similar position of just being useful for now. Especially since the Enclave seems to like to think in the long term so outsider auxiliaries could easily be dead by the time the Enclave implements any grand plan. Another factor is that Autumn is still a Colonel not a General you would think he would be promoted if there was no one above him and thus Autumns own views and plans are not a good indicator for the Enclaves leadership as a whole without more information.

@@seamusfinnegan1164 The justification for dealing with the reno crime families was, the Enclave needed the chemicals they had, and the Enclave didn't care if the weapons they traded were used to kill more mutants, I guess in the end the Enclave would reclaim them anyway if their plan worked. As for Horrigan, he was born into the Enclave, and since he's a supermutant thing, he's sterile, so no reproducing. He's described as being extremely loyal, so he's an exception. In Fallout three, it's likely that much of the Enclave's military is made up of outsiders, pointing towards the Enclave having a more relaxed approach to recruitment. My next video happens to relate to colonel Autumn only being a colonel as well.

And while yes there is justifications for the bending of true purity that is still bending things. That beings said the idea of genetic adjustments does not proclude the wastelander recruitment as it could be simply something to remove the health issues various mutations would bring while also still serve to showcase the Enclaves ideals of a pure human genome as they try to fix the mutated wastelanders as best as possible in this outsider friendly Enclave. Also you still see Enclave pretty heavily still if you side with them in Fallout 3 if they were outsiders they would die from the FEV virus in the water.

You can find plenty of examples of "good" Enclave members, like the remnants, Enclave control company and the roughly 150 people who stood against Eckhart continuing the war on china. There's not really any more leaders though, The Enclave is only in three fallout games. The Brotherhood is worse than the Enclave in most games, in Fallout 2 the Enclave is pretty evil, but at least there's the excuse if them being traitors. In every Fallout game the Brotherhood are just cowards who sit in their bunkers hoarding the technology they confiscate from wastelanders. The only "good" Brotherhood chapters are the ones in Fallout 3 and Tactics, yet they were both splinters of the main Brotherhood ideology. Fallout 3's Brotherhood is the most moral of all of them, however they're extremely ineffective. After the defeat the Enclave only with the help of the lone wanderer and liberty prime, they attempt to do exactly what the Enclave was (spreading the fresh water from the purifier around the wasteland). However the Brotherhood is extremely bad at it, they can't transport very many or very fast, the caravans of aqua pura are also often robbed. This Brotherhood is shown as being completely useless and by Fallout 4, the Brotherhood is in no way better than the Enclave.

The Enclave didn't exactly work with vault tec. Vault tec was contracted by the pre-war government to create the vaults (most of which were social experiments). The Enclave is the remnant of the pre-war government, so they had access to all the vaults. There was still secrets each side withheld from the other. The pre-war government also was trying to create supers soldiers with the virus that turns people into supermutants, and the soldiers who witnessed this at the Mariposa military base would become the Brotherhood of steel. You'll learn fast that the Fallout world can be pretty messed up.

@@TheOmegaInitiative thanks for clarifying that up. Yeah the fallout universe is really messed up but I guess that's expected for a post nuclear world. I've gotten interested in the BoS and the Enclave and I'm trying to learn more about both factions since they both are the high tech groups. I'm curious why so many people love the enclave so much but to me it seems that they are the type of faction who would disregard their lower ranking members and kill them off whenever convenient. From what I've seen at least it seems it's mostly corrupt politicians who just want to stay in power. But I do think it's cool they have cool tech. I did enjoy the enclave missions in fallout 76. I've been watching a lot of your videos so I look forward to learn more about the enclave and why it seems like so many fallout players want to join them

Well, the new DLC of FO76 explain the real objetive of the FEV and the goals of the companies like Vault Tec, West Tec and, without direct mention, the Enclave. Spoiler, it was not intended to create supermutants.

They certainly wanted to kill all mutated people, but they would also kill every pure human other than themselves, at that point it's just unbelievably evil.

If Fallout tactics is to be taken as canon, then Cheyenne mountain is vault 0 and it's home to the calculator. If we're just going off Fallout 2, in the poseidonet, NORAD is listed as "offline" that may not necessarily mean Cheyenne mountain is destroyed, it might also just mean the Enclave's connection to NORAD is offline, either way, you can see why there's not much discussion on the topic.

Even if they are I wouldn’t care. Caesar’s Legion is Fascist, and they have their good & bad aspects. The Enclave should be presented in a better light in a future Fallout game. Preferably as a joinable faction, maybe the actions of the player could steer them in either a more radical direction like Fallout 2, or a more humanitarian direction like Autumn’s Enclave in Fallout 3.

I'm basing this idea off of current Fallout lore, maybe the oil rig group weren't originally traitors, but Bethesda bought the Fallout ip and they added new lore. I literally always say that factions in a Fallout game should be able to be seen as good or bad and which ever way they are perceived, they should always have at least some qualities of the other. Fallout's 2's Enclave however, is just comically evil. I would accept if they wanted to kill all mutated humans, you could at least make the argument that they're trying to "save humanity". But killing literally everyone, mutated or not, even the people who would be part of your organization i.e. every Enclave group that isn't the oil rig group, is just dumb.

@@TheOmegaInitiative The idea of killing non-FEV infected people is that they are just stock for experiments, nothing else. It really shows how the goverment operated before the war. Enclave is not just evil spooky guy faction, its the Old World raising it's ugly head.

@@vanstarate Not all uninfected people would be stick though. There were many control vaults, and there were bound to be other Enclave bases still scattered around the world.

@@vanstarate It's seems most people got the idea there were more Enclave bases from the map in the oil rig. I don't know where it implies they're the only bases. Sure it's stated in the fallout bible that most of those lights on the map are probably just there for ambience, but it also then says the Enclave retreated all round the globe months before the war.
