It’s fast, but it is not safe. OSHA has warnings against it, as does the literal manufacturer of the forklift. It’s one thing to forget OSHA, but it takes a lot of ego to act like one knows better than the people that designed and built the machine. We’ve had two tip overs from guys doing exactly that! Turning while elevated.

Not taking away from this guy, but as an RSR Walmart DC driver I must say we are FORCED to go this speed, because Walmart hands out Writeups like God hands out air to breathe......no matter how awesome you perform/how energetic you are/how ethical you are/etc, there's Always a Write-up waiting around the corner once a month.......ie: Production/Housekeeping/Shrinkwrap disposal/etc etc etc etc the list goes on. That's why my specific warehouse can't keep anybody, they've established a Write-up Adult Punishment culture out there.

Ight i'll be the douchebag i guess.... I work for walmart dc. Our racks are about 6 inches closer between racks in a lot of areas. This gentleman extended his forks before picking up the pallet. What that means with the lift being used, almost zero room for error when picking a pallet up quickly and efficiently. (Also meaning downtime when putting said pallet into rack or module slot.) I WISH I COULD GET A CLIP OF ME XDDDDDD 1000% id ruin the rsr world in one clip. This is true but i work in a cold storage warehouse that operates reach trucks twice this height and they don’t care as long as you know you can handle it. Obviously that would differ if an OSHA representative was there (which they never are). But as long as you’re smooth and slow with the turn as you’re raising the pallet up, nothing bad will happen. But to go against what i just said, if a safety committee representative as my self were to watch you do this, we’d definitely say something and write you up if it kept happening(because that’s our job) but we turn a blind eye to it because it definitely increases productivity. But it is definitely not the right way to do it.
