Nova Scotia Provincial Parks are still closed at the time of posting this video, but we decided it would be a good day to check out Valleyview. We planned to camp there in 2023 but had to cancel. The access road was icy and there was still a substantial amount of snow in the woods, but we checked out a few promising campsites. We cut the hike a bit short as the dogs were sliding on the ice. Valleyview is a provincial park, so remember dogs must be on leash, and as always pack in/pack out.
Since we didn't hike as much as planned we took a drive along the coast of the Bay of Fundy and ended up at Delaps Cove. This might be on of our favourite trails in the area, but it has a steep hill down to a ravine and back up, to assess the trailhead. No winter road maintenance and a bright sunny day meant the road was slick. We opted not to test our luck sliding in the jeep! We do have another video of Delap's Cove that you can check out here:
