If you want to improve your impact position and you club head speed through impact then give the Reverse Engineer Method a try.
We all look to generate effortless swing speed with an easy golf swing but how do we do this and still hit the golf ball straight.
In this golf lesson the reverse engineer method teaches you first how to finish the swing correctly in order to hit the ball straight and once you have achieved this shows you how to add club head speed to your technique to hit the golf ball further.
If you like the training give it a thumbs up and if you haven't already consider subscribing here:

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZfaq and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Danny, I just turned 72 and usually golf around bogie golf. I have struggled for several years on getting out of our hard pan sand traps, swinging over the top with my irons, pushing my driver, and not transferring my weight on the forward swing. Thanks to reviewing many of your tips, I have lowered my handicap and hitting several rounds in the 80s and enjoyinggolf much more. Love all your lessons.

Danny-I haven’t played much this year due to a shoulder injury that has finally healed and now the weather in PA/DE has winter wet weather. I saw this video a bit ago and decided to try your method today. I’ve been playing for 45 years, and score well. I practiced UR drill before each shot from driver,, fairway metals, irons and even long pitch shots. All I can say is WOW!!!! I hit the greatest number of absolutely FLUSHED shots I think ever hit in a round. I’m not talking about distance per se as conditions are awful-what I mean is absolutely perfect clubhead contact with the ball that seems EFFORTLESS! My left side and L forearm are a bit sore tonite so I know was swinging properly. It will take much more repetition to undo 45 years of golf muscle memory but I’m CLEARLY up for this. What I great chance finding on KZfaq and I’ve now become a subscriber! I shared this video with my bro and a couple of golf buddies so they can see. THANK YOU for bringing a simple explanation to make the golf swing easily repeatable. Brian

Hi Danny As you may remember I am 71 years old and admit I played fun; but, not always great golf throughout my life. Today I did your exercise in my hilly cold yard in NH prior to every shot. In order to achieve this I needed to make slight modification. I first placed my 6 iron about 18 inches on the ground in front of the ball; essentially bringing 6 ironed in front of the ball to the loft of an 8 iron. I then removed my trail hand, placed it by my side. I then reached out and placed my trail hand under the grip of the club. The first thing the I notice was the tilt upward I felt in my lead shoulder far more then if I were to reach over with my right hand. Assuring that my body was parallel to my target line; I then reversed engineered; placing my 6 iron lofted club head squarely to the ball. Wow!!! Regardless where I needed to place the ball in relationship to my feet at any given time in my yard; my shots were perfect; each and every time. Distant? Well even rubber balls can go pretty far😀 Thought I would share my exploration of your vid with you and anyone else's who may chooses to read it. Thank you for catapulting my swing to new heights.

Gosh Danny, this is as good as golf instruction can possibly get. Your concept of a catapult, combined with the reverse engineer method, is the secret to a solid golf swing. We amateurs tend to make the ball the target of our swing, when in fact the target is somewhere far down the fairway. I’ve played the game for 60+ years and I’m still guilty of it. The move you make here is the exact same one you would make if your goal was to throw the club as far down the fairway as possible. The target is way the heck out there, not laying on the ground in front of you. And your reverse engineer concept is brilliant; it is THE cure for coming over the top. Just great stuff Danny; the importance of what you teach here cannot be overstated. This is video instruction at its very best, for sure...

And Danny, you are exactly right about body rotation NOT being the way to create power. Bryson DeChambeau has brought that whole “passive arms and hands, hit it with the body, one-plane swing” thing to the forefront here lately, but I can only think of Bryson and Moe Norman who were ever able to make that swing work professionally. There are several teachers out there now trying to teach that swing, but I’ve tried it and it sure doesn’t work for me. Your teachings are the way to play the game, and you do it in a way that we amateurs can understand. I’m 74 and have had to add some “senior” touches to the swing (letting the left heel come off the ground on the backswing, allowing the head to rotate during the swing), but the core fundamentals that you teach are there. And done correctly, your swing is as body-friendly to an old man as anything out there. Keep up the great work, my friend - you are truly a ray of sunshine in the world of golf instruction!

KZfaqr of the Year. Thank you so much, Danny. I believe I have seen all videos from you this year as they are so great to understand, straight forward and full of simple hints and tipps. It help me a lot to improve my golf game and/or adjust a few things. My top 3 vids are "easy golf swing for senior golfers", "how close should you stand" and "golf swing made simple" ... so I guess you can imagine I am a basic rookie who just loves to play some nice rounds of golf without putting too much focus on getting my HC down. Great job, Danny. If there is any wish I may make for 2019, I would love to see a video about "best warm-up moves before going on a round" as this is super important for me to be flexible, warm and stretched before I play 9 or 18 holes. I guess this is your last video before the well deserved break for Christmas so I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas time and a great year of 2019. Thanks a lot, Danny!!!

Great video. I just hit some shots on the course the other day like this and I was surprised to feel the speed that I was able to generate from such an abbreviated feeling swing. I call it "my 3/4 swing" that I use all the time for energy levels and dispersion control. Hopefully the viewers understand that the cocking and uncocking isn't a conscience or forced move... it happens naturally and shouldn't be done earlier than needed, as you clearly demonstrate. Our anatomy forces us to load the swing as soon as we reach a point far enough in our backswing as well as unload as we reach a point in our follow through. No need to think about it is all I'm getting at. Great stuff and I'll be returning for more vids for sure. Thanks.

Hi Danny, found this really interesting. I’ve been plagued all my golfing life with early extension and I’ve tried every drill imaginable to no effect. However all the drills were aimed at the start of the downswing. Watching you demonstrating of the “concrete legs” made me wonder if this is the root cause of my early extension, particularly as I had ten years of not being able to move my left hip. I can now move it thanks to a hip replacement, but it may be that I need to educate them into turning again. Off to the practice tee again 🏌🏿 Got to be worth a try, can’t possible make me any worse

Ok so I'm 11 years old and I can only hit my driver 170-190 yards on average. My short game (within 100 yards) is very good right now and with it I've shot 9+ with 1 birdie 8 pars and 10 bogeys (80 on par 71). But my long game is not very good you see I easily could have broken 80 that day but I just could not hit far playing 6500 yards (1 back from ladys) now my dad suggested play from juinors but i really wanted to play the whites so I did I played great and set a new PB. But I was disipointed with my distance. A few weeks later a guy on Golfholics video said to check you out so I did and you helped so much! I just came back from the indoor center and I was hitting everything 15-30 yards further I now feel comfortable with my distance and i'm excited to get out on the course with my dad soon! Thank you so much! P.S sorry for all the misspelled words.

Brix thank you Brix for taking the time to let me know how you’ve been getting on. It’s wonderful to hear you’ve managed to gain a few extra yards from the training!! What I would say is at 11 you’ve got sole growing to do and there will be lots more power to come. One client of mine literally grew a foot one summer break and came back after the holiday hitting it 50 yards further. He was just bigger and stronger. You stick in there

Hi Danny, The "reverse engineer" concept in golf is brilliant! Went out last Wednesday, with my senior buddies, and they wondered what the hell I'd been doing to have improved my Drives distance, and accuracy-wise. They wondered if I had been taking a lot of Vitamin E? (lol). Finally, had to tell them to watch you on KZfaq, and subscribe. Cheers!

THanks for another great video. After working hard on getting a long high backswing this drill shortens my backswing significantly. I was not hinging my wrists before so I am hoping the extra lever will make up for the shorter backswing. It doesn’t feel like I am getting a full shoulder turn. Should I keep working on getting the arms high in the backswing ? I am 6’7 “. Buddy

Danny. Excellent videos. Makes sense and feels comfortable. A question if I may. In your previous video you at point indicate that for the irons the back of the left hand (almost) feels like it is pointing at the ground, while for the driver the feeling is more flat to ascending. Should one have a feeling similar to the irons for the 3 and 5 woods and hybrids? I would assume that with the setup being different, the bottom of the arc may be longer but the feel of the wrists would be more akin to iron than driver shots i.e. more of a hit down on the ball. Your thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.

Another jump out of my bag swing tip! Great explanation, even keep the drills simple. Thanks for detailing the reach for club with the under move for right hand. Nicest part of your video is your not showing massive numbers for how far you hit your clubs. Too many 300+ drivers giving tips out there!!! Stay warm happy holidays, until your next lesson cheers mate!

Danny - great video. Does this reverse engineer method work the same for driver? I.e., does the driver head face the same way and end in the same position as the iron club head? Thanks so much and keep up the good work!

Danny, Very good video and great idea to reverse engineer the swing. I will definitely try this out. Also, there's an element I'd like you to discuss future in detail. That's what happens in the transition. Some call this the shallowing of the club. You do this in this video. Its a quick thing that happens but I think all good players do this. Hope you know what I'm referring to. Also, I hope you are working on my request for a video showing positions of the ball (in the player stance) for all irons and woods. Thx.

Denny Hasson thanks Denny, shallowing should be a natural thing that happens when golfers don’t strangle the the club and allow natural forces to work...

Hi Danny With my driver and 3 wood I occasionally fade/slice the shots. I've recently came across articles on the advantages and disadvantages of a cupped/bowed left wrist. The explanations given are somewhat ambiguous therefore can you please answer should I practice a straight or even a bowed left wrist to stop the occasional fade/slice? I just love your programmes and thank you for taking the time to produce them. Merry Christmas and a successful 2019. Paul
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude 5 жыл бұрын
Paul Boyd honestly Paul I don’t focus on either. If I want to stop fading the ball too much I would first make the grip a little stronger in the lead hand and then work on trying to play draws. Watch the training I’m releasing this Saturday it should really help. I think focusing on the wrists is just too complicated and in my opinion unnecessary

looks so easy. I must be a "flicker" of the club. My left wrist will hurt from the excessive extension. I will consider this the drill of my future as I am sure these basics are attainable and repeatable....even for an older guy like me....as this does not look like it takes great effort to get great clubhead speed.

i agree with you 100 percent as I use the same method ....some what ...I find myself in stages if you would set up....cock the wrist ...then a slight shoulder hip turn ..then fire thru with a snap of my release...the freeze at the top helps me time the shoulder hip turn rather then one complete motion great lesson tip.

Have to add a 3rd comment and that is a firm left side releases the club which means you dont have to push it with the right hand and scoop it or whatever. Danny we need a video on hitting with a firm left side.

Hi Danny a clear explanation and looking forward to practicing it. One comment I've been working on my one piece takeaway whereby club shoulders baby rotate together. This in my mind delays the hinging process and in your video it looks like the hinging process starts far earlier? Thanks again.

Hi Danny...Really nice things here....do you get the sensation that your Right shoulder has just a "very slight" delay before following your arms into the accelerated release? Possibly to keep the right shoulder from coming over to quickly...(to avoid over the Top)?

Yes Danny hits the nail on the head as he says you dont just keep rotating your body thru impact. You have to firm up and then release. But if you are overly concerned with a nice finish you will turn your body thru impact--not good.

Great video. One thing I noticed is you have a fairly strong grip with the logo on your glove for the most part facing the camera. Most instruction that I have seen preaches a flat wrist at impact. I can still see the logo on your glove as you swing through the ball. I have been trying to play with a stronger grip and was wondering if you would care to comment on this. Thanks.
