Great vid brother. Been thinking about getting a tunalizer. That motor holder looks great.

@@wutupclegg6618 Unfortunately no. I just last week bought the Surpass Lightweight 17.5 based on your impressive review of it. It was extremely helpful to see the Surpass data compared to the Slot Machine. Members of my club run the Slot Machines and they are very fast indeed. Hopefully, the Surpass will bet me back in the game. Thanks again for sharing!

What are your motor temps after a race?

Have you looked into comparing a rwurks r1 17.5? Ive also heard the blue rotor in the v10 works really well. Thanks for the info
@wutupclegg66184 ай бұрын
I have not tested the Rwurks. I did look into them, but they are quite pricey. However, they are on my wish list.

I will put that on my list. Is that a popular motor out there? Not too popular in the US.

Excellent video! How can I find this device to test the rotor on the market?
@wutupclegg661816 сағат бұрын
Hello Luis. Thank you for the compliment. I made a video that talks about all the tools/devices I use to test the motors. You can find it on my KZfaq Page. It's called "What I Use To Test And Tune Brushless Motors."

If you were going to use a motor box stock, would you go with the hobbywing or fantom?
@wutupclegg66187 ай бұрын
It would depend on what I was racing. The Fantom had a lot higher RPMs, but HW showed to have a bit more torque. On-road, I would go with the Fantom. Off-road, that would depend on the track. Tight small tracks, I would go HW. Bigger and faster tracks, with longer straightaways, I would lean towards the Fantom. But, that is my opinion. Others, I'm sure, would love to weigh in.

Any advice on what to pick for an onroad motor where FDR is limited (but otherwise outlaw as in no roar, efra, whatever certification needed)? I feel like all these new torque monster motors wouldn't really be beneficial in a scenario like that.
@wutupclegg66188 ай бұрын
If you don't need a ROAR certified motor, I'd go with an outlaw. Lower your spur gezr teeth and raise your pinion teeth.
@KacKLaPPeN238 ай бұрын
@@wutupclegg6618 Gearing is fixed in the rules, so that won't fly.
@wutupclegg66188 ай бұрын
@@KacKLaPPeN23 Hello Kac. Which gearing are you referring to? The drive gears? If I had to race a motor with fixed drive gears, I would choose a Fantom RS.
@KacKLaPPeN238 ай бұрын
@@wutupclegg6618 Yes, basically we're not allowed to go below a final drive ratio of 5:1 (which isn't very tall at all for 17.5 TC). Which would be a 38t pinion and 100t spur with an internal ratio of 1.9 for me.
@wutupclegg66188 ай бұрын
Agree. I believe I mentioned that in the video. If you have a fixed gearing, I would definitely go with the Fantom RS. It runs about 3,000 RPMs than the other motors I tested.

Is the new G4R faster?
@wutupclegg66184 ай бұрын
I have not had a chance test it yet. A lot of racers were not impressed with the G4. I think that's why the G4R came so quickly after the G4.

soooo hw or v6?????
@wutupclegg66189 ай бұрын
Just a by going off of what racers are saying, the V6 is a better motor. By going off the test results, I would lean towards the V6. It has. Lot more torque.
