Hi Chad, thank you for the great efforts in making the cool video. We really enjoyed it. However, there are a few points in the video we want to elaborate on. First, the placement of the base station, The built-in directional flat panel antenna is mainly suitable for stage performances, press conferences, and other occasions. It transmits signals directionally to enhance the signal in the front and avoid interference from different directions. Therefore, the signal is the strongest when it is directly in front of the main station, and when setting up the main station, a tripod should be mounted, and the height should be at least 1.7 meters. In addition, the main station must be directly in front of the event venue and shouldn’t be blocked by other items. Second, regarding the application scenarios of the built-in panel antennas and fiberglass antennas. The built-in panel antennas are suitable for one-way open venues, such as stage performances, church activities, etc., to transmit signals directionally, while the fiberglass antennas are ideal for outdoor open venues, such as sports competitions, large-scale sports field activities, etc. The base station can be placed in the middle of the venue and cover a circle range with radius of 300m. In the video, the overall environment is open. There are no apparent obstructions on the road; however, you also mentioned that Mike was walking downhill, so that could be one of the reasons for the reduced range besides the interference it probably got from other things. All in all, thank you very much for the sincere walkthrough and assessment of the Solidcom M1.

We just bought this system for our church. Have you had any luck getting program audio into the system? I’d like to send an aux output out of our board into the comm system

bh photo sells the xlr to 4 pin cable from holly that will allow any audio to come into the comms via the base station

@@chriswhitaker9720 the cable we need is actually a cat 5/6 cable to 3 pin xlr male and 3 pin xlr female. We ended up making a custom one that has worked pretty decent but the system seems to duck out the program audio when it’s low and not loud enough

so... your out side test is actually of the omni external antenna and range is 950' for line of site I think you actually nee to remove the external antenna so it uses the directional antenna. the system can't use both it switches automatically so you would have gotten better range with out them.

You get what you pay for hey. We tried the C1 and it just didn't cut it. 7K for 8 headsets for a pro system is cheap.

My name is Stephen u did a wonderful review this product i know a new manufacturer who also have a long range talkback system 2000 meter with ,build in wireless tally and can link to 8..32..60 user just one hub .
