Versatile, portable, and sounds good! And, as the clever folks in marketing implied, build quality: solid. A wireless intercom is a great addition to your ATEM Mini Pro or Extreme livestream production.
The Hollyland Solidcom M1 wireless intercom comes in 8-beltpack or 4-beltpack units, great for both small and medium-sized events.

You’re the best person to do this type of video because you explain things clearly and very detailed! I am almost finished with the rig that you showed in your video. Thanks to all of your tutorials

Great review. We had the c1 with Hub which for lower noise environments is perfectly fine but these head sets on the M1 look far superior. Love your test in the cafe/bar. Very funny. Regards Martin Hobart, Tas.

Thanks Martin! I do love the C1’s flexibility, but yeah the M1 is more robust and better for loud environments. I wish Hollyland would make dual earphone options!

Great video, thanks for testing it so well!! Question: Some of the older Telex systems (like the 800) had A/B channels. Is this unit just one channel, or can you have two groups going on it? Thanks

Three channels! Groups A, B, C! You can assign each beltpack to talk&listen, or listen-only in each of the three groups.

awesome review! I just got the mars pro 400s, did they include enough power adapters with these units? The mars units only come with one which was stressful right before an event.

Yeah wireless video transmitters usually seem to come with only one AC power unit - my teradek bolt did likewise. They probably assume the transmitter will be battery operated. For the Solidcom, other than being sent a European plug (an easy fix), the power options are great. Love their battery recharging tray- nice and compact and will keep you going all day. Also (and I haven’t tested this specifically yet but assume this is the case) the USBC ports on each of the beltpacks would mean you could power them off a 5v cord at each of your camera positions for all-day power.

@@davidjoshuaford that's great to hear! , I tried to power the other hollyland transmitters initially over usbc and it caused a lot of weird glitches and frozen screens so I ordered their ac adapter as a more reliable alternative to the USB c. I use them to csoture the presenters laptop and send it to the atem mini from the stage.

Hi there than Hi thank you very much for a great review I am considering buying the solidcom pro1 I am non sighted I think it would be a great idea if hollyland would make the headsets alert you when the battery was running low. I have a blue tooth headset and you can check the battery status and a voice will announce battery low mid or high it would be great if you could hold down say the up arrow on the headset and it would give you this information this would really help if you can not see the light thank you again for a great video Joe

I'm happy with my Mars 400S. This seems decent. But they really need a US version for those 3.5mm ports.

The NTG 2 is the best of it. ♥️ It more natural and realistic

Yes, boom is best! It’s a funny comparison because they’re intended for different purposes. The difference is more stark when you listen back in post production, but when live in-person on the ear it does sound less crunchy.

1. How high up were you Floor levels up? That height should have had a greater contribution to reception 2. Next test place to control box at street level And do the same test again! 3. Do the test with the receiver belt packs Horizontally and vertically mounted

3rd floor up… long range with clear line of sight and short range through walls are good; long range through walls the signal won’t penetrate. Horizontal/vertical no difference.

Device Solid com audio is no good. It low med bass. Frequency and slap efx robotic Don't know if that's the flat default settings

That's the genuine Solidcom audio, recorded straight out of the headphone port, with no post processing applied. Noise rejection works very well in loud environments!
