may have warped the clutch drum with all the heat from welding, and the clutch is now touching. just sand some of the clutch off i guess, and it should be good.

Configure it like a mid Drive using a triple chainring on the cranks with the original chain on the inner sprocket and the one that goes to the chainsaw on the outside sprocket which means the petals will always be moving unless you can figure out a way to put a Freewheel on the front sprocket somewhere but I'm not sure how you do that and the tensioner on the rear derailleur will probably do what you need it to do because that would make a huge difference I think with the low torque and inadequate speed that leveraging the existing gears would be a game changer except when you're starting out which with the higher gear ratio would just put undue stress on the motor chain and everything else. That would also allow you to mount it inside the triangle where it would be better balanced and feel a l'ot more natural and require a much shorter chain that you probably wouldn't have to worry about coming off just an idea you may not have considered and good luck hope you get it worked out

I would have made it better than yours

Typical chainsaws run at around 13,000rpm, and for a 20" wheel, 10MPH is like 300 RPM so ideally you'd have a 40:1 reduction from the chainsaw to the wheel... in this (and many other videos) it looks like people us a regular 13t sprocket at the saw and a 40t sprocket at the wheel giving you like a 4:1 reduction...... That chainsaw IS idling and probably burning the clutch.

It can go around 40kmh / 25mph, but I made too little reduction. So, a chainsaw does not have the power to start a bicycle, but it can maintain speed.

У меня д8э ,колесо задняя немецкая на 28 (3 переключения) к ней приспособил звёздочку от мотоцикла дельта... Также и цепь Пока еду, нет проблем никаких, и шпицы не ломаются если правильно с места стартануть.🙂
