Easiest way is too remove the oil filter is to take off the right side front wheel. Oil filter access is easy once wheel is off

That oil filter location is the reason why I have never changed the oil in this car myself, I just supply the oil and filter to the dealer and pay😅

Yes, from under the car behind the engine, to the right of the down exhaust pipe. Enough room for my arm.

Just bought an 08 Si, and did an oil change. What an absolute PITA. I grew up with 80's and 90's Honda's and they were super easy to work on. This is a joke. Just to reach the oil filter was like sticking my hand and oil filter wrench down a rabbit hole, through the magical forrest, then a flight to chicago, then down the shoots in candyland. Then when I got there, there was about 0.5 mm of space to work with. It probably would have been easier to pull the motor out to change the oil, except honda crammed this motor in there. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about the motor mounts cause even if I took every motor mount off, , it would take a 300,000 psi press and an act of god to get the motor out. The stupid engineers at Honda said "an oil change?? Who does those any way??"

There is a way to get the oil out of the filter first. Just start the engine for a few seconds and pump the remaining oil out before putting the plug back in..
