Honda Foreman 500 Popping Out of 1st Gear: CHECKING CLUTCH

This 2006 Honda Foreman 500 (foot shift) will go into first gear, pull away and then pop out of gear almost immediately. If you can shift it into second quick enough it acts as if nothing is wrong.
You can feel it pushing the foot shifter when it’s popping out and it will also engage the neutral light.
We are hoping to find the issue while being able to leave the engine in the bike but we will see what we find in the video.

Unfortunately I don’t have a video. It is pretty straight forward, if you take your time and keep your parts organized in sequence of removal you should be fine!

The dogs on the side of the gears that held them together were wore. I wasn’t able to find it until I split the case. When you strip it down you can see most of the gears through the hole in the case, all mine looked good until they were inspected closer with the case split
