Honey Ginger Cake - With Stem Ginger

Күн бұрынThis is a lovely soft cake, enriched with lots of honey and ginger. Grated stem ginger increases the wonderful flavour profile, making this delicious with tea of coffee. It is also great served as a dessert, with custard or ice-cream.

Oooh when I saw your post I clicked straight away. Honey Ginger cake. My gran used to make something like this. She always had Preserved ginger in the little fancy Ginger Jars. Chocolate coated ginger is a real treat also. Thank you for the recipe. 😋

Lovely GEOFF Ginger another favourite of mine I will definitely try this thanks.. Great weather here as everywhere I think sunny but not too hot.. Obviously I've been sorting my garden out it's walled so it's nice and sheltered so I'm gong to have some cake @tea out there this afternoon cheers 🍰🍵

I love any ginger cake, Geoff, so thanks for this. Rarely find stem ginger here, but luckily my local (well, 60 odd miles away in Newry) Sainsbury's does stock it.

I used crystallized ginger it worked fine. Didn't have stem ginger.

Hello Geoff. I love what we call Ginger Bread here. I like to take a piece of it while still very warm and put butter in it after I cut the piece in half. Oh so yummy.
