Very well explained to a layman. A major omission I think is that there is no mention of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) which is the basic building block of AI which facilitates learning from the data it is exposed to.

I did higher studies in 3 major universities in 1990s in control systems. 'Nural Network' was popular by that time. 'AI' is not a magic, it tries to mimic human thinking, memorize and making conclusions based on data and is flexible to change.
