Pro tip: if you've never seen bots in league play the lowest difficulty bots available. If you're lucky you'll get one other real person on your team. the other 3 accounts? Account leveling-bots. EVERY game. I guarantee it.

Not related to bots but here's another interesting rabbit-hole: Go to the top ranked flex players, and try to find players with 0 losses. It starts showing around Grandmaster. 99% of their games last 5 minutes. My personal theory is that this is done through the lobby-crasher exploit we saw a few months back - if they dont get their friends on the other team, they crash the lobby and go back to queue! Rinse and repeat untill you're matched with your buddies, one of the teams throw the game, GG!

Before twisted treeline was removed, every casual game was filled with bots, you could always tell because they wouldn't buy or move until minions spawned, they just used that mode to farm out games quicker for XP to get them to level 30 to sell off as a fresh account.

I can't find anyone talking about scripters especially in the League subreddit (mods remove your post when you call out scripters), but PH server is especially infested with scripters. You find them everywhere, even in ARAM & URF. They are so shameless that they cheat in for-fun gamemodes.

I had 4 Bots in different games last month, deranking from Emerald down (Gold 3 in my games atm)! All last 20 games in the history were lost on the profile and it was also behaving like a bot. Random Ulti on Camps, random smites on minions. No Chat, Objectives, Teamfights, nothing. It was just roaming the whole game.

the bots that level to 30 queue up a lot of aram games. i was leveling a side account and had an aram with 8 bots. 8. the only real person was an asol on the other team who would just e and gather all the bots together and delete them. was very silly.

I've definitely seen bots in the game - a whole team of them in fact. Matched in Quickplay against a team, all with the same icon, all with similar two syllable names, played BADLY and surrendered unanimously at 10:30. My friend who was with me said they had a similar experience the day before.

Like a year or two ago I was watching a couple unranked low level friends duo in ranked they did 3 or 4 matches and all of them had a bot Yuumi support in their team except in the last match where I told them to ban Yuumi and it went Soraka and stuck to the adc like a RuneScape character that pressed to follow another player.

I think you are really missing the point about the bot problems if you think they are just all around iron. When you start a new account it's very likely that you are placed around silver at least. In general people are being placed in gold or even plat, there was a lot of complaining about this from both sides, people having new players that far up and new players feeling bad about losing so many games at once because of wrong ranking. As a silver player I saw more and more bots in the game, from not experiencing it at all as far as I know just some years ago. This Yummi sitting on adc and basically not doing anything at all, that I saw. And in same game they had some top laner running it down. So two bots in one game. This problem has for sure increased, I noticed it well because I used to play A LOT. And actually this is ONE of the main reasons that I got tired of and actually stopped playing League. Whenever I am feeling tempted to play League thinking about the good sides, I am reminded that I will likely not have those fun games anymore there because of bots and because of the humans as well.

I hadn’t seen a bot in game for at least a few years and then the other day I got TWO on my team and ONE on the enemy team. In the SAME game! I have no idea what happened that day.

I’m in high Iron and an ADC main and in a ranked game I ran into a teemo bot account. No leash, and would just follow me, auto attack minions that got close to him and backed when he got below half health, bought scanner at the beginning of the match and used it in lane.

These bots got pretty advanced. The ones I saw were programmed to respond to accusations from teammates of being bots, with lines in all chat like “my team is calling me a bot I’m just new :(“

I wonder if a way to juggle the thing with bots could be to restrict the server change for a year from the account's creation -(maybe with some lifting if the account reaches Silver rank in SoloQ to mean that the user is actually playing and not lose-botting).- Edit: WHOOPS That way, it would lock a bunch of accounts from the users and gather way more accounts, exposing more patterns for them to discover which accounts are botting.

In my last 15 games I've had bots on the enemy team 3 times in low diamond, getting lucky I guess, felt bad for the enemies though, they are just constantly sitting under turret, and moving in 8 pattern. Funny enough they are still not banned and have like an 80 game loss streak, while still not being banned.

The only time I have ever thought of smurfing is when I have a buddy of mine who is new to the game and is getting DEMOLISHED in my lobbies and soon enough they aren’t having any fun at all.

Hello, just so you know, the accounts are not only uploaded by bots, but there are also people who pay to raise the account to level 30 by hand and those accounts uploaded by hand are worth more, for the simple fact that they have less chance of being banned, I know this for the simple fact that I do it and the pay is good overall.

I've seen bots a few times when I was playing. A long time ago, some of the events had rewards for playing 30 games,When I was already a little fed up, and wanted to complete the mission quickly, I played matches against bots, I took champions that took objectives quickly, to finish the match quickly. When I did this, several times there were players who were bots on my team, who just walked from the base to the middle lane, hit some minions, went back to the tower, advanced a little, and died to the enemy bot. They never got past the first tower, and they repeated this script until the game ended.

I never knew this was a problem until last week because a teammate of mine mentioned it. There's at least one bot / smurf account (or whatever you want to call them) a match. I play ARAM if that matters, but regardless, this is so frustrating.

The crazy thing is, this is exactly what wildrift uses for ranked matches between iron IV - silver I (most matches). If you are in between these ranks you are playing entire enemy team bots till you hit like gold IV. Then they throw you against plat to emerald players who wreck the shit out of you coz you’ve been playing against bots this entire time.

I'm on OCE and ever since they released Vanguard I have been getting random jumps in ms, like from my regular 4ms to 3400ms within seconds, once or twice per game or just randomly disconnecting. I haven't got any issues with my machine, and it isn't my net. I don't want to blame the update but it's the only outlier. It's extremely frustrating as I've done nothing differently and I'm getting punished. Any tech peeps out there, is it possible for it to be causing this? Is there a way to fix it?

You usually catch new account bots in plat or emerald and they demote all the way till iron until they are banned, there was a bot called mikegayhat that bot some how got hard carried and won 2 games being hard carried met me at emerald and make me lose. Then continued to que for another 30-40 hours till it was banned.

Vanguard isn't in the live client yet necrit, it only hit PBE this patch cycle

Hello! I have played league for 4 years now, and was hardtack silver for the first 3(I am emerald now.) I use to see Yuumi, Soraka, and Annie bots pretty common, especially late at night/early morning. The weirdest things about them is how they ended up on my team 99% of the time, and never the enemy's team. Getting a game with these bots got so common, I could tell there was a bot in my game in CHAMP SELECT. It would start by support typically hover the 3 champs mentioned before, and then in the ban phase the bot would ban a teammate's champ if they have it hovered. If you ban the bot's champ it would move the the next champ, usually 1st Yuumi, 2nd Soraka, and 3rd Annie. I never tried banning all 3, but id assume it would just pick a random character or another random support champ. During the game if the bot is yuumi, the bot would hop on ADC doing nothing but casting a Q at the minimum time before it got registered for AFK. If the bot isn't playing Yuumi, then the bot will just follow the ADC around and recall when the ADC recalls. Not really casting abilities, or casting very little, constantly hitting waves whenever. If the ADC dies, or if the ADC gets far from the bot, the bot will then follow an ally who is closest and act the same way. I have never seen a bot get lvl 3 support item, and rarely get lvl 2 support item. It felt like there was nothing you could do, and your odds of winning are higher if you just didn't have a support in the first place in moments like these. For the record, I have seen 3 confirmed scripters in my games. Their champs were Renekton, Jax, and Kayn.

as somone who has played with their fair share of yuumi bots, your team tends to spend most of their time avoiding it as much as possible, and trying to soft int if it catches them to get it killed as much as possible

I've played a few Co-Op vs AI games since Vanguard dropped. There's been some very clearly bots on my team and none of them have been stopped yet so who knows if it's doing anything.

as an actual iron player like myself, i have noticed that there was less bots. i had no clue that riot vanguard was added to league, but this change makes me happy if the bots are being cut down

ive actually had a fair number of bots in my league games, usually they are most obvious when they move in a very unnatural way while not really seeming to be aware of the game around them possibly going to the wrong lane

I feel like I played with a bot in ARAM a few weeks ago. They were playing Karthus, but in a way that no human would play. They rarely ever used their W and randomly used R when everyone on the enemy team would have enough health to survive it. I understand that people can be bad with champions, however I refuse to believe that was a real person.

Now I am really curious what are the bots like who can rank an account to Masters. Also how is it possible to remove smurfing?

Sadly I see bots in ARAM way too often, 2 only yesterday. They start with no items, run around, come with completed boots as first item, then run around some more again .. quite annoying.

Not gonna lie, I have bought accounts in the past, I've played different roles on a different server that some of my friends play on because they weren't 10$ like Nec mentioned, they cost me 1.50$ each. I don't think you should, and it'll definitely get more expensive as Vanguard will be able to detect bots but it's ridiculous that Riot let the botting problem go on for so long that 4 accounts with over 100h of playtime each can be bought for the same price as a venti Starbucks coffee. And yeah, like the reviews I got to choose the skin and what not and was instantly able to play (they got banned after a few weeks, but it was that cheap.) I definitely hope the botting market gets nuked, and I'll never see a lvl 30-35 account with botgames in it's match history, in plat/emerald/diamond+ games ever again.

If you try to lvl a new account today you would see countless bots until lvl 30. After that they suddenly vanish like they were never there.

I had a Yuumi MF bot duo lane in my game the other week. Fresh lvl 30 accs, building trash items boots and armor on Yuumi and same build on the MF. Afk for half of the game. All of my team reported them, prolly some of enemy team too and they both still got to ruin at least 20 other games when I checked the next day. Checking their history you could literally tell the other bots they leveled their accounts with just from the naming scheme alone. The play pattern and everything is so obvious too, its hard to believe that someone at riot cannot write a proper detection program to autoban them quick.

I've seen that crap. Dude used Yummi bot to lower account to Iron IV and then a few weeks later it was sold. And I don't know why they created that champion. Didn't they knew that it would be easy to automate her movement.

I don't understand why they don't just 2factor authenticate outside of clash. That solves most bot issues, since most bots won't be able to play.

i already saw a lot of bots playing tft in order to farm emblems and get more pass rewards; and in brasil is quite common to see a script who is not ban ever. very common thing in clips channels here.

I've had a few bots in ARAM. Usually account levelling bots for people who want to try the game and feel instant power with an account power levelled to a certain level and rank. Until their account gets banned for botting. I indeed saw more bots in MMOs like when I played Aion (the OG back in 2009/2010 until I ran out of money for the sub and switched to LoL 😅) and when I was... Working at a video game company that has two MMOs!! I got to learn how they detect them and had the privilege to hit them with a ban hammer very hard. 😂

being a former iron 4 (yes I sucked that much) player climbing all the way out of iron and bronze was very popular with bot accounts. I would say maybe every 3rd or 4th match there would be a bot on the enemy or ally team. Even with the bots being banned there are still people throwing in low elo to get the iron 4 accounts sadly.

The funny thing is that those bots suck, most of the time they only go mid, and ofc the enemy push easy the other lane so as the human you have to be careful of everything

Would riot banning yuumi in all vs bots game somewhat solve the problem? Like make it 30 to 50% better?

I'll readily admit when I played League I was god awful at it and mostly played ranked for fun (not in the sense that I intentionally trolled, but I find competitive environments fun and would do my best to improve every game with new knowledge acquired, but had no ideas of climbing as fast as possible) and I stopped when Yuumi was dropped into the game, because the game became infested with bots that it wasn't an uncommon occurrence when one bot would have to pick something else (typically Sona or Soraka).

I'm pretty sure I went against a bot yestoday. It was just a yuumi that attached to anyone and then did nothing. When looking at the account they were level 85 ish and was masteres in ranked xD

I worked so, so hard back in the day to get platinum. I wasn't good but I worked on getting better at the game and improving and getting to a spot I was happy with. $40.
