How can you make a convention for women when you don't even know what a woman is?

I love how they say, “you’re invading women’s spaces” while they literally hold a conference on how to break into a predominantly male space.

I worked in high tech. The company I worked for hired a few women. I had to work one woman and was to was train her. She was the laziest person I ever worked with. I did 99 percent of the work and she got half the credit for the job completion. I told my manager, I work faster without her and I refused to work with her again. None of these women lasted long.

I became physically incapable of caring in, or supporting the idea of female only spaces, the moment male only spaces were banned. If we're not allowed to have a space just for us, neither are you. Props to these guys who found a loophole to get in.

I believe that the whole 'which gender am I?" situation has completely gone off the rails. That said, is it correct to claim that men LIED by claiming to be non-binary? Men are falling behind in school and the workforce because of systemic issues. Strangely, nobody wants to address these problems even though femnism is “supposed to be for everyone”. We need more male teachers, nurses, and therapists. Where are these quotas? And why aren’t we trying to get more women into construction and brick laying?

I went to a convention for men only. They were handing out scholarships in fields where men are underrepresented such as teaching and nursing. Just kidding, this doesn’t exist.

That small interview of Grace was enough to for me to admire her. Just a stoic attitude and determination to do what needs to be done.

Well had it been a MEN EXCLUSIVE SPACE, it'd have taken one woman to file a complaint to accuse the company of being sexist to only allow men and not women. These company would have lost their entire savings trying to defend themselves. If men can't have Male Exclusive spaces so can't women. Women forced their way into workforce And then set the rules that everybody should conform to. Kudos for those men for thinking for outside the box.

I want to add that women used to be a majority, or at least, were common, in STEM fields during WW2 and early years of the Cold War. Duting 80s and 90s, STEM shifted to be male-dominant. Another irony is that COBOL is not the only language or software designed by a woman (either collaboratively (mostly) or individually). Other technologies include: Assembly (by Kathleen Booth), Ada (named after Ada Lovelace actually), Wi-Fi (by Hady Lamarr), BASIC (by Mary Keller), Smalltalk-80, GUI (by Adele Goldberg), and so on. - List may vary since I had to write it with less or no validation, so be aware The point is: Women used to be excellent mathematicians and scientists half a century ago and more, they even used to work on decoding German's ENIGMA during World War 2; but today modern women are far from that, lacking critical thinking and expertise. Sorry to say all this, but that's what I've heard from the work culture. Yet another irony is that (how much I've understood) feminists claim Grace Hopper created the best programming language (COBOL) that today is one of the most hated languages and unused. Do they even know what COBOL is?

I live where we don't have quotas and work as software developer. In my previous workplace we didn't have women in our dev group of 6 (there were testers tho) until one girl from university joined as a patr timer. You know what was the reaction? "A girl? Cool. On what project are you placing her?" And that's it. Nobody protested or anything. IT guys are one of the chillest people you can find, they are not gatekeepers as some wants to present them.

as a woman who also has a panic disorder and adhd, i would rather earn something through hard work instead of a diversity hire. i just have to deal with the cards i was dealt - and when i actually accomplish my goal it feels 1000x more rewarding. i’m not going through college and getting good grades just to fill a quota. i want to earn it! the only time i want a safe space is in therapy lol

I was 34 and came to this realization that while I had some skills and had a lot of passion, I didn't spcialize in anything. I couldn't point to ANYTHING and say "I'm the best in my field at that." That was why I struggled to earn more or find a fulfilling job. You have get off your butt and specialize. Aim to be the best in your chosen field. Great video.

I've been calling out this kind of stuff for 20 years. Women are allowed to have their own spaces (salons, spas, fitness clubs, etc)...and are allowed to do so legally. But anytime men want their own space, it is called illegal via "discrimination".... Further, feminists are also complaining that men no longer want to interact with women in the work place....and yet here, we have a job fair that actively tried to prohibit men from attending. I worked for a company that had flex time. There wasn't a set work time, you just had to put in 8 hours. They stopped that when people started to work 5-7 hours and put in for 8.

I thought we lived in an age where it was beyond gender. But as with everything that only applies when women wanted to.

One of the main things that are wrong with this society is the fact that no one is either confident, brave, or have enough initiative, to actually try to do things. I don't know how many times in my life I've had no clue, NO CLUE AT ALL what I'm doing, but I've tried to do it anyway. I work in the medical field and I don't know the amount of times we've had like a malfunction with a bed, or the coffee maker has stopped working, or we've just had general issues and nurses or other people are like "Well it's broken we just can't use it" then I turned around, mess with it a bit, and look at that suddenly it works again. I'm not even a nurse, I'm not tech support, I'm not maintenance. I'm the freaking nurses assistant..... Yet just because I have the initiative to take more than 2 minutes to try and solve a problem, I'm the one that fixes stuff. No I can't fix everything, No I don't apply this knowledge to highly expensive equipment or to people's lives. Hell 90% of what I do that fixes things is just basic troubleshooting that tech support would walk you through..... "Turn it on and off again, unplug and replug the accessories, look at the settings" but just because I have that slight bit of initiative, I end up solving so many stupid problems and the nurses think I'm so smart..... Like....REALLY. oh btw im a woman. So I'm not some man sitting here saying that women are dumb.

Quick note on resumes. Especially in tech/engineering a lot of employers will look poorly upon a creatively designed resume. I know it sounds weird, but a straight up black and white resume that is well filled out will get you further than having a designer do it. Great video!

True story. I use to work for a medical supply company and they had this department called the picking department. That spot was specifically for women. What they basically do is receive orders from clinics, doctors office, or hospitals that may need certain medical supplies. The women would put the package together and send it to the shipping department. The shipping department would then ship the packages to these locations. However, these locations would call and complain that the packages were incorrect. The operation manager would be so embarrassed by the continued mistakes from the picking department. A female supervisor decided to put a man in that department, and I kid you not, all the mistakes in that department was gone, and production rate was up 25%. However, the operation manager said that men are not allowed in that department. It is specifically for women. Guess what happened? Yep you guessed it! The mistakes and errors happened again. I understood exactly what that female I.T. CEO was saying when she had to stop hiring women programmers because they sucked at their jobs. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️
