Thanks so much for helping me with tips on ranunculas. My first attempt at planting them. Such beautiful flowers. Hope you get more subscribers ❤

that’s great. I’m so glad it helped. I’ve actually sown some from seed this year and was just thinking about doing an update video on that.

Hi Jill, great video! What do you suggest when the corms don’t have much give and won’t budge to separate? I have a large clump with possibly 4 separate corms, but they feel stuck together and I don’t want to snap them. Is it better to leave them stuck together? Or will the corms recover if I snap them off? Thank you!

I just came across your channel, I'm trying to create a cottage here in Northern Ireland have just discovered so many beautiful flowers on my new journey in gardening as well. Keep going! Rununculus are amazing aren't they? I'll be getting more colours this year as well.

sorry for late reply. My laptop broke so I haven’t been making videos or checking my channel. Still gardening so will be back at it soon. I’ll be planting out my ranunculus again this year. Maybe tomorrow. have you grown some too?

Great tutorial video I'm going to dig mine up now, unfortunately my whole garden is container apart from the back which is raised, haha yes you're obviously very lazy.... not!! Yes very demoralising to lose so many, I wonder why?? Did you add like for like?, I did a lot of that in the beginning but have stopped now

No I've never tried any trickery with you tube. I did fill in a questionnaire they asked me to do and I wonder if somehow I've been relegated for giving the wrong answers. Not sure but it's been such a blow to watch the subs going down every day. I think maybe gardening and art don't mix. It's so stupid to expect creators to create content that fits the algorithm! I mean fitting with the algorithm is not creative at all. I'm pretty sure the audience can cope with me having more than 1 skill I want to share. I'm going to just stick with being me and sharing whatever I like and see how it goes.

@@JillBretherton I've noticed that channels that focus on one particular variety of plant get more subs, roses, Dahlias that sir if thing, also people who share their faces get more subs 😱 lol not ready for that, I think views are more important though some channels have thousands of subs but very few views , I've given up trying and stick to what interests me and watching videos that interest me

Yeah, I can't be bothered showing my face. I used to get a lot more views and subs when I was just art. I love art but don't want to do just one thing. I think to merge it all it has to be a vlog but I find a lot of those tedious, scripted, fake and pretentious. I just want my channel to represent me and what I do whilst helping others. I'm going to keep at it and see what happens. I'm hoping it will grow eventually. I'll give it another 6 months or so.
