I second Skye's mention of protein overload. I don't have the means to buy expensive hair care so I mostly search for natural ways to look after my hair. Twice a month I put rice water or egg mask on my scalp to combat hair loss and it works wonders but if I use it more than twice a month then it will overload the hair follicle with proteins which will suffocate it, dry your hair out and then make it fall. Diet is incredibly important. Eating a diet full of vitamins such as vitamins A, B, C, D and E is very important. You also need a daily intake of omega 3 fats, you need zinc and ferritin/iron to maintain a healthy strong hair. So if you are going through hair loss that is not triggered by dying your hair or heat damaging it, it's best to start with a blood test to see where you lack and look after that. I tried the JS hair and energy but they didn't work for my hair, their main ingredient is zinc and two types of kelp so it doesn't target everything your hair needs.

You are the ultimate hair goals! Felt you so hard about your hair snapping and turning into a mullet that was me over a year ago and it was utterly soul destroying. It’s only now starting to get back to semi normal. I had to just dye it dark and try and leave it alone. I highly recommend that Nak shampoo and conditioner you’re using I was using it when my hair was going through it’s mullet stage and it help a lot also no blow drying or straightening. unfortunately, I was on the JS health vitamins for quite a while and they really did nothing for my hair I had more luck with the Apotocarie hair vitamins. I hope my hair ends up looking as good as yours in a couple of years! ❤️❤️❤️

It’s true, too much protein on the hair can make it brittle and can snap off so only use it as a treatment then condition over the top then rinse it off. Your hair is looking amazing I love it natural too 🤗🤗🤗🤗😍😍😍😍

A good tip also is to not use any type of cookings oils in your hair such as coconut oil, olive oil etc! Cooking oils aren’t water soluble so they never properly wash out, they feel good in your hair because it coats it but never comes out fully. Because it’s also not made for hair, when you walk into the sun the sun basically cooks the oil so it will just fry your hair from purely the sun!!

Yes it’s true about the too much protein doing the reverse effect! You can even try using the structure complex shampoo and then doing a different conditioner when you wash your hair so you’re getting multiple benefits in the one wash rather than switching in pairs if that makes sense! Your hair is looking soo good xxx

I have really long dark brown virgin hair. It’s taken me so long to get it to this length but I really want to get a Carmel/blonde balayage and tbh it would probably help reduce the amount of oil my hair produces but even though my hair has no colour in it at all, it’s so frizzy and is constantly breaking. Should I get the balayage or try a treatment that will reduce the amount of breakage first??
@momma2thewilds88

The salon can do a treatment after your color. A nice gloss and treatment can last a couple months. I have always had super oily hair where I have to wash my hair everyday or its gross. My hair is now bleached, pale silver/grey and i can go.5days without washing which is so nice!
@momma2thewilds88
@momma2thewilds88 4 жыл бұрын
Also, if I let my hair dry naturally, it gets greasy too quick. If I blow dry it and straighten it, it then makes my wash last way longer. Heat isn't good for your hair so always use a heat protectant and use the lowest heat settings on each hair tool.
@kimberleymcgrath9510
@kimberleymcgrath9510 4 жыл бұрын
Momma2thewilds I’m currently trying to wash it every other day because I did some research that said shampooing everyday removes the natural oil that protects your hair from breaking but what you’ve said sounds really good so I might go see my hairdresser tomorrow. Thank you so much ! ❤️

Ash I’ve just been told to use one with boar bristles as it helps drag the natural oils down the hair. I’ve been using a plastic tangle teaser type brush thinking I was doing the right thing but apparently that skips over the oil - although it is gentle on knots. Hope this helps 😊

Don’t be scared to bleach your hair ! It seriously depends on your hairdresser I had the exact same hair type as you legit I’ve been through the exact same experience and about 2 years ago I was sick of the dirty blonde and I just wanted to try having a clean platinum blonde, she told me it might damage my hair but because my hair is so thick and I stopped using extensions ages ago like yours it turned out amazing my hair is still platinum today it’s super natural looking not fake it’s shiny, naturally long and thick people always compliment it now and we don’t even use ola plex. I do use js vitamins they’re great. Not saying go dye your hair just saying if you did want to go platinum blonde now I think your hair would handle it really well and look amazing
