Losing weight is easy, if you stick to a plan of action.
By incorporating #walking into your fitness routine, you can burn fat and maintain your muscle mass.
Walking takes little effort, in comparison to an intense caloric deficit and it can be done absolutely anywhere, without a gym membership or equipment.
Strength training and Yoga, pair well with walking and create a great trinity of activity that will keep you lean and shredded throughout the year.
I walk for the mental benefits, as much as the physical benefits.
I hope you incorporate my advice on walking to lose bodyfat without sacrificing your hard earned muscle.

@@Reyes.2100 good morning, sure man I was at my heaviest 330lbs and lost 50lbs. It helps that I’m tall over 6ft so I look less obese than I am however I felt the difference and still have alot more to lose. If I could give you advice so as to keep you motivated and not lose your momentum do the math first for how much a man your height and weight burns calories per walking distance and multiply that by how many calories per hour you lose to see how many lbs you can lose per week and how long then I’ll take you to reach your goal weight. I was burning healthily 4.5lbs per week and still with a cheat meal one day out of the week following what’s referred to as CICO. Best of luck man you got this 💪🏽

@@Reyes.2100 sure thing man! Glad I could help and also self compassion goes a long way, practice it and forgive yourself if you make mistakes but don’t let them stop you from reaching your goals. Also even if you go all out and you don’t get the results you want by the timeline you want ,forgive yourself no one is perfect ,reassess where you’re at and keep going ,remember slow and steady wins the race

one trick i learned was you can add audiobooks to walks if you need entertainment while walking but keep it just when you walk. once i got used to walking and it was not a serious effort to walk the trail out where i live i found myself wanting to walk more because i liked the book i was listening to and my mind associated the action of listening to the story with the walking. so i would substitue tv or movies that were sit down with another walk to get farther into the book.

I have been taking the car to get my daughter to kindergarten (mostly because of laziness, because the kindergarten is 5min by car and 15-20 min by foot depending on my daughter) and this is the video that helped me to push over to taking her by foot from now on. Today she used her little scooter and I jogged or ran beside her. This alone adds 20-30 min exercise to my daily routine so I think I am going to keep it going :)

This man sounds like me, exactly. His comments really made me laugh....cause I know exactly what he's talking about. I'm 60 and have been lifting and doing HIIT training, and walking and yoga since 1997, and having a blast. I do very brief but very intense lifting (one day per week)....one very intense HIIT cardio session per week, and walk about 10 hours per week if I can do it, but usually I end up with about 7 hours per week of walking. That, and a whole foods diet, and some good weight and waist tracking, and it keeps me lean and on point. I also stay away from television and only kind of follow sports. You look great my friend. Cheers!

I walked 5+ miles every day for 16 months straight. I then moved to a weight program with HIIT called Lift4. I did that for several months. I then bought a home gym and I do more serious lifting. I feel I need to start purposeful walking again. There are 3 days a week I do not strength train. I enjoy walking on our road, but unfortunately, this time of year it is dark when I get home. Luckily there is an indoor mall on the way home where I can walk around the structure outside. Not to be forgotten is that I will be 53 in the next month. I was about 48 when I started this entire journey.

Have a cold right now so I can't exercise or walk much, but I've still been doing calisthenics and a walk every other day while sick. Learning how to place my foot while walking changed my life. Thank you SO much. I had been meditating on how to walk for ~9 months, but struggling to do so in a pain free way. Once you showed me, walking became a ton of fun and the meditative aspect has become enjoyable instead of frustrating. The only walking concerns I have now are a bone bruise on the pad of my right foot (which doesn't hurt much unless I walk for ~1hr on cement) and the tendonitis I'm recovering from in my left achilles (which is fine after some light wall stretching). Thank you again and have a great night.

For the first time I have a painful plantar fasciitis pain on my right foot above the heel. It's very tender/painful of I touch that spot right now. I've been doing barefoot/minimal shoes for quite some years now. I started doing basic leg calisthenics exercises, but also recently went to an ample amount of concerts days in a row. I didn't feel the exact moment it happened, but noticed when I stepped on something in that spot. Normally it's just a slight pain then I massage my shins and feet and it fixes itself. I've been doing hamstring stretches aswell. I'm not sure what to do about this pain, but I'm guessing the exercises and constant standing lead to this. I'm taking some magnesium. I hope the pain goes away soon.
