Thanks for going over stuff other reviewers just completely ignore, like having to move forward and look down to see the second display well. Have watched like 6 reviews just to get an idea of that. Thanks! I still want to get it though and use these little laptop feet that allow you to raise the back a lot (open or close the feet) like a laptop stand!

I've been using the Zenbook Pro Duo since early Dec 2019. A couple things every review leaves out about it is this thing gets really hot, so your use of this "laptop" on your lap gets very uncomfortable in a very short time. Because of the two screens, the i9, and the video card, it is also an insane power hog. It requires a whopping 230 Watt power supply to charge it! And you think the laptop might already be a bit on the heavy side, wait until you have to lug the additional weight of the giant 230 Watt charger around with the machine when traveling. Those are two very important factors I wish someone would have touched on before I bought my machine.

I have the Zenbook Duo. Great machine. Love it, however really let down by no video out via usb-c. You can connect an external monitor to it via HDMI but I wanted one cable (usb-c) to connect everything. I often undock the laptop from my workstation so one cable connectivity is the perfect solution. HDMI cables are very tight to pull out all the time.

@ripudamansingh2

Actually, I saw another channel's review about the stylus. It has some serious issues with the stylus input, especially with very slow inputs. So drawing, especially something that requires precision and accuracy, would totally not work, on either screen. It's a fundamental flaw of the stylus input technology they use, apparently. I would highly recommend not getting this laptop if you plan on using this for the stylus functionality

thanks for the wonderful review. The duo available at present has a gloss main display and the secondary is matt. Also the main screen is touch. This is as per ASUS on amazon. Can you confirm? How uncomfortable is the keyboard? I have been using 14 inch Zenbook till now and my work is mainly office work but a lot of multitasking.
@NasiLemakTech
@NasiLemakTech 4 жыл бұрын
ASUS has a way of having different specs for different regions. For Malaysians, the Duo is a non-touch main display with a secondary touch-sensitive display. So you need to check with Amazon on that. As for keyboard comfort, it's pushed to the edge which is just... not comfortable to be used on the lap as a laptop.

@@NasiLemakTech, Thank you two for your excellent review! I saw the 14" in a shop today and I absolutely love the idea of 2 screens. I am also mainly an office user, and will be a student again, therefore I will heavily use OneNote simultaneously with any type of documents, so two screens would be phantastic. But even standing in front of the Asus and trying to type I could feel how my arms were sort of constricting my upper body due to the narrow keyboard. Can you confirm that? And have you ever gotten used to the right shift key being so far away to the right? And one more question, if I may: when you actually handwrite on the Screen Pad Plus, doesn't the keyboard get in the way? Like accidentally pressing any keys? Thanks a lot again, guys! I'd say the Illegear laptops are a good choice. They have a lot of AMD-powered laptops in the market and they're priced competitively with good build quality. Acer Nitro 5 2020 is a good choice but kinda bad in terms of build quality. ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is an excellent laptop but of course - there's a price to pay for its excellent build quality.

Hi there Sid, that's a really good question. And yes, the ZenBook Duo (not the pro) is capable of handling those tasks. If your 1080p video is somewhat simple (no fancy effects, etc) then it's good.

QLED is inferior compared OLED. Furthermore, QLED requires backlighting, this means more components, more bulky and heavier. There's a reason why LG is taking Samsung to school when it comes to screen tech.
