For some unknown reason we have slight cultural fascination with the confederacy. Lot of our folk songs that are based in the US are sung from the point of view of a confederate soldier. And well, it just means that you have black slaves at home that close doors after you. Even though my country never had black slaves or colonies. @@Thanatos833

1:13 As a Pole I have never heard "tu nie Afryka, drzwi się zamyka" (This is not Africa, door are meant to be closed), but I must admit, but it rhymes and has nice ring to it. Usually in my part of Poland you will hear "Do you have curtains instead of doors at your house". But after extreme consideration I came up with most Polish saying, behold: "Nie graj tyle w Gothica, tutaj dzwi się zamyka"

@@LordHypertronUniversum "tu nie Afryka, drzwi się zamyka" = "This is not Africa, door are meant to be closed" "Czy Ty w domu masz firanki zamiast drzwi?" = ""Do you have curtains instead of doors at your house" "Nie graj tyle w Gothica, tutaj dzwi się zamyka" = "Don't play Gothic so much, here you should close the door" Let me explain, Gothic is a German computer action role playing game from 2001, but it became extremely popular in Poland (probably because of it extremely depressing atmosphere and Polish dubbing which was not norm at the time) and it arose to a culture phenomenon for all people born after 1985. If you ever played Witcher game series and noticed how it differs in atmosphere from cRPG from Western countries it is because Witcher games where made by people who where raised on Gothic games, they just made it a little more light and approachable for the Western audience. But because Gothic was made by small bankrupted studio some technical aspects where bad, even for 2001, so most of NPCs in Gothic live in houses without doors, even though the climate of the setting would be too cold for it. :D

Yeah, have to agree with Drew's last comment there. I recall seeing an article a few years back, where a 30-something was in danger of losing his condo because the guy he was renting to turned around and was renting it out on Airbnb. (Short-term rentals were forbidden under the condo board rules.) There was also a case or two where someone who fancied themselves a record promoter rented a downtown condo through Airbnb, to promote a local RnB hopeful...and it ended with gangbangers shooting at one another in the hallways and elevator.

For the first map: You're ancestry "changes" but it's always based on viking "exploration". The Scottish ancestry by the English is a result of the ethnic hierarchy in the South and the first settlers in the region who gradually moved inland due to reasons. The german parts are because of how many kids they had to work the fields (my family) The dutch is because they took more commercial jobs in the german areas and had less big farm families. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

7:30 How did Madison Square Garden become a classic *stadium* ? In American English (and probably other forms of English), we generally classify smaller facilities (usually for hockey, basketball, and other events that require less surface area) as *arenas* and larger facilities (for sports like soccer, American football, baseball, and cricket) as *stadiums* . So MSG is really a classic *arena* (though definitely on the large side for arenas in terms of seating capacity).

Not to try and defend the high unemployment rate in Sweden, but it could be explained by the benefits you gain by being a student. You get paid about 2500kr by just going to university and you become eligible for a special kind of loan that pays out an additional ~8000kr. The loan has incredible low interest and is very lenient on when and how you have to pay it back. So a lot of people in that age range do not really need t work. For some context most student apartments are about 3.5k-4.5k KR a month. Which leaves quite a decent chunk to live on.

Petition for Drew to make a series covering Ace Combat and its multiple universes: [Day 231] The M231 Firing Port Weapon (FPW) is an adapted version of the M16 assault rifle for shooting from firing ports on the M2 Bradley. The M16, standard infantry weapon of the time, was too long for use in a "buttoned up" APC, so the FPW was developed to provide a suitable weapon for this role. Designed by the Rock Island Arsenal, the M231 FPW remains in service. All but the rear two firing ports on the Bradley have been removed.

In Zimbabwe we say "Do you have a tail?"" when someone forgets to close the door implying that they are afraid to crush "their tail" with the door if they close it behind them..

Minor detail, love your videos by the way, just it’s my understanding that the unemployment rate isn’t, percentage of people without jobs, but the percentage of people who are not in the workforce but are activity looking for work.
