How to add multiple PHOTOS to one fabric sheet when printing using FREE Inkscape software

Do you want to add several pictures to one page so you can get the MOST use from one fabric sheet? Today I'm going to show you how I use a free software called Inkscape to add multiple photos to one page, resize photos, and crop them. Years ago I purchased a photo editing program made by Microsoft. It had so many of the features that are in the Inkscape software. I was so depressed when it was out dated and I could t use it anymore. They never made another program to rival it. I’ll be very anxious to try this software. I’m surprised it’s free!

Remember to leave enough space around each photo for the seam allowance. It will help with construction of your Quilt. Ask me how I know!

Hi. Able to follow instruction up to when you start to crop. What buttons are you pushing? Unable to go any further, just doesn't happen.

Hi Julianna :) When you click on your shape (the square) 4 arrows appear on all four sides, and 4 arrows in the different corners. If you click and drag one of those arrows it adjusts the shape of your square and crops it. If you hold down the control button as you do this, it will resize your shape in equal proportions.

ALL went well til I tried to make the 2nd sq to size all photos to a specific size. Could NOT get it.... FRUSTRATED. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if you go to inkscape.org the page for Inkscape will come up, you'll click on the download button and click the software for your computer system :)

I haven’t fabric printed with my laser printer since the sheets say ink jet.

If you are using specific fabric sheets for printing then you really need to follow the specs on the package :) Most, if not all....store bought fabric sheets for printing are to be used with inkjet printers I believe :)
