Thank you 1/ Let go of your agenda. (talk to people with no ulterior motives). A/ Go for the obvious. (talk about the location, event, weather etc). B/ Be interested. (if you are interested, then you will be interesting). C/ Be authentic ( be yourself, dont pretend to be someone else). D/ Be playful (relax, smile with you eyes, have fun).

The silliest thing in my life is I used to interact and feed off the public.. I worked in a family owned traveling fair.. I started in the games as a kid.. It was a fascinating job calling people in to play..it’s where I learned to be open and entertain people.. I took that and later in life became a cab driver.. talking to people was always easy, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve become shy and reclusive because I stepped away from those opportunities to interact with strangers.. I really needed this video to find my courage that has went missing

@@renegodefroy pls can I comment on their outfit or perfume? Also ,at what point do I introduce my product? Thank you sir,God bless you richly.
@renegodefroy
@renegodefroy 3 жыл бұрын
@@aspiremore3669 Yes! You can comment on their outfit or perfume. Don't have an agenda to introduce your product. Go for the relationship first. Be interested! Listen for the keywords they are using. If someone says, "My son plays loves video games," Get the person to talk more about the son. At some point, you might ask, "what do you do for a living?" They might ask you the same question. Then you can introduce your product. In the end, they will buy you first. Without you, the product does not move. For example, I help people package their stories, struggles, challenges, experiences, or backgrounds to create services or products to serve millions so they can make money and a difference in the world. When I'm talking to strangers, I know most of them are not living their dreams. I know they are unfulfilled. I know they want their own business but they don't know how to go about it. I would say, "by the way, besides working here, what is your passion? Or what do you really want out of this life?" The conversation might end up with them expressing their dissatisfaction. At that point, I can tell them that is exactly what I do. I would offer them to get on a free call with me so I can help them create a strategy. The goal is to genuinely help them before they pay you money. That said, I don't know what you are selling. Your approach may be different.

Hi sir. A great video indeed. This is the first video of yours that i have seen and its was really good. I totally agree about the 'scare quality' that we posses as humans. You suggested that we should not have agenda so that the other person is not scared. However, sometimes i meet strangers and they smile at me and they strike an 'obvious conversation' with me and then the alarm in me goes on...my head starts telling me - why would this person talk to you...he must be having an agenda..and then because of which i start to show disinterest in that person and dont talk to them. can you please suggest me what i shall do ??
@renegodefroy
@renegodefroy 5 жыл бұрын
+Mufaddal, it may be because you are dealing with a trust issue. Like it's difficult for you to trust people. Am I right? It looks like you lose interest before you are certain the person has an agenda. In order to offer any suggestion, I would like to know if the person approaches you because you are attractive or because he wants to sell you a product or service. You should be able to read people by observing their body language and the words they use. If the person is tight and uneasy, that's a sign. The reality is, your subconscious will tell you instantly if the person is up to no good. Listen to your intuition. As an example, if the person starts complimenting you on your physical attributes, that might be an indication. There's a difference between "your legs are gorgeous and those shoes are really nice." We should never compliment someone on their physical attributes during the first approach. That said, it's often difficult to coach someone or give advice without specific details. The word agenda may mean something totally different to different people.

Hi, Rene . This video , this training was ABSOLUTELY beyond helpful my friend . I genuinely want to thank you for putting it out in the universe. Here’s my question: are there a certain amount of questions that need to be asked per level to make a deep connection? For instance: state the obvious- 2 questions/ be interested: 5 questions, etc. I may be overthinking this 😀 But thanks again Chris
@renegodefroy
@renegodefroy 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris! Excellent questions! Don't be concerned about how many questions. If you are too self-conscious about that, your conversation will now flow organically. You ask questions to listen so you can follow up with another question based on the answer. As an example, you say, "Wow! This is a huge store! Isn't it?" The person says, "Yes. It's the biggest in Georgia." You say, "Really? I live 10 miles away. I think I'm going to make it my main grocery store. You live in the area?" "Yes." You say, "You are lucky. By the way, I heard it's a law in this town the law says everybody must own a gun. Is that true?" As you can tell, there's no limit where you can take the conversation. The person might be a gun lover or opponent. You might find out the two of you have a lot in common. That said, listen for their main words to fire your next question. The smartest people in this world are those with questions instead of answers. Don't cut people off. Let them talk about themselves and what they care about. The more can talk about themselves the faster you will be able to establish trust. But, keep in mind that the reptilian brain will NOT go for what I just shared unless you pacify it first so it knows you are not a threat. Say things that it is familiar with. For example, the reptilian brain knows, the store is big; there are so many isles; the shopping carts are huge; the bakery is one of a kind; the floor is so shiny, you can even see your reflection. Hopefully, you get my point. Let me know if you have more questions.

Any pointers on reaching out through social media
@renegodefroy
@renegodefroy 3 жыл бұрын
The best way to reach out through social media is to understand you are communicating with human beings instead of objects. I think that is what's lacking. So, be extremely courteous, uplifting, compassionate and caring. Find something good to praise and uplift the people you are contacting. Treating people as objects is when we put our products or services first. That means you are having a transactional interaction. As the saying goes, no one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. Asking for advice like you just did is also an excellent approach. It's very human.

Hey you know I have same problem, am new immigrant had social anesity and no friends I nothing how I can solve my problem
@renegodefroy
@renegodefroy 4 жыл бұрын
Just the fact you found this video and typed this comment tells me you are half way to solving your problem. The entire conversation about your issue is happening in your head every single day. If you can manage to monitor your self-talk and change it to exactly what you want, your problem will go away. Don't worry about how it's going to happen. Your unconscious knows. Your only job is to consistently tell your mind, "I am very sociable. People love to be around me. I make friends easily everywhere I show up. When I meet others, I am genuinely interested in learning about their world. I approach people with confidence and strike meaningful conversations." Yes. That may sound woo-woo. But, trust me, it works. Do this for anything you want in life. The only thing to keep in mind is to never state what you want in a negative way. For example: Never say to yourself, "I am not shy." Instead, say, "I'm highly confident and sociable." Also, it's not enough to say the words. You have to imagine it with feeling. That's the secret sauce. The reason this works is because you are already everything you want. However, your mind or ego has forgotten that. And that's because of our social conditioning or programming. As the saying goes, we are engineered for success but programmed for failure.

So if i don't have an agenda why am I trying to speak with this person? Your example of going to business event and trying to network, you have an agenda in that case don't you?
