I also had a problem with keeping eye contact with anyone but one day I met a friend who I havent met for a long time and she noticed that I was trying to avoid eye contact with whoever since I used to get so nervous and scared so she was like "Look at me in the eyes when you speak" and I did EXACTLY that. Now, it's become a habit and I no longer have to force it anymore! I am so thankful for that friend. She a real one.

I found a nice way to practice eye contact is just looking at your teachers eyes at school during lessons even when they are not looking at you and when they look at you just keep it for like 2 more seconds and break it because you dont want to seem more powerful than your teachers, which may lead to them linking you with negative emotions which may reflect in your grades and relations with teachers (dont try to be more powerful than people above you. Its somewhere in the book „48 laws of power” I belive)

Thats just something animals do when assarting dominance, fighting between each other (for example like cats) and so on.
