Love this. As we build our video agency, we can put a lot of these lessons to work. Matt is a beast, leading a community of hundreds of other entrepreneurs. We're in his Facebook group (free) and he's sharing his successes and failures on a daily basis, instead of keeping his business hidden behind a curtain. We have a lot of respect for the dude.

This is an EPIC explanation. If you want to actually be free, not just free from your corporate job but free from the job you created for yourself too, you've got to focus all of your time and energy on creating LEVERAGE. That leverage is what allows you to get more done than everyone else and scale your business to the levels you are trying to get to. For anyone who is skeptical, I encourage you to try the stuff Matt just laid out for FREE for a month and see how different your business looks.

I'm personally enrolled in his program. The "system" he teaches is building processes for your business. The whole premise is creating activities that build more income for yourself while you outsource the smaller value activities. Nothing is guaranteed, but if you put in the work you can get the results 🙌

So Chris, I guess you have hidden all of the negative comments as the ones I could see yesterday have now disappeared. If you have an interest in promoting this guy you should declare it up front.

You risk damaging your Chris the Freelancer brand by pushing dodgy gurus. If you are simply doing a mate a favour then I question your judgement. If you have a commercial interest in promoting him then you should declare it so your viewers can take that into account.

It surprises me that you're pessimistic yet you're willing to take free advice so openly and expect people to give it away without paying for it. I know Matt personally and the content he has produced has literally helped me scale upwards of $20 K in a month. Yet you refer to him as a dodgy guru because he has a program that he sells to help people achieve this? I suppose you believe the same for all of the food you purchase because someone grew it after taking advice from someone else and then sold it, that they too are dodgy? Would love to know what part of this was not authentic for you - undoubtedly you'll pick holes because you don't want to pay for it.

Hello Kale, I'm pleased your business is doing well. My opinion of Matt is based upon: 1. The admission on his own website that he has little business experience and no formal qualifications in the subject he now professes to be an expert in. 2. At only 24 he obviously hasn't got much life or business experience so is unqualified to put himself forward as a coach or mentor 3. The techniques he covers in the video are garnered from text books and his frequent smattering of buzz phrases he has no deep knowledge of their meaning and nor has he undertaken any unique research or study of his own. In other words he is passing off the work of others as his own IP I have no intention of using his advice or guidance whether free or paid. For what it's worth I'm in my fifties and am doing okay without it. I am also life experienced enough to know BS when I hear, see or read it. My concern about Matt and others like him I increasingly see on KZfaq is that they are looking to get rich quick by selling half baked, recycled and overhyped "systems" to young folk whose judgement is less matured. These well meaning clients more easily fall for the over-hyped claims and the fan boys/girls who then claim with almost religious zeal that the systems and the mentor are the reason why they are succeeding. The truth is they would be far better buying and studying some good sales, marketing and motivational books by true World renowned experts in their fields than a wet behind the ears 24 year old who in truth knows not much more than they do but puts on a good front. In the World of the blind, the one-eyed man is King. As to your reference to food retailers I'm afraid you have lost me completely.

Chaps I am not bs'ing I make 8k as a digital nomad every month - I made 15k every month on-site, Your advice is sincere but you are selling marketing not skills! Good luck if it works but my personal opinion is get in on new technologies like AI that is the way forward from a back office database administrator - i dont understand how you can technically educate someone that has never been involved in the businesses you discuss

LOL your comment makes total sense bc the content you saw is from when Matt had just quit his job and got started freelancing - before scaling to build a multiple 6 figure agency. Totally correct much the same as all the online stock traders who are getting rich....but most of it comes from selling their "system" to gullible buyers. KZfaq has allowed many people to escape real jobs and get paid just enough but the question to ask is always where is the value being added!

@@whoismattkohn Important to understand how much it cost to generate that $120K revenue - what was your net profit?
@whoismattkohn
@whoismattkohn 5 жыл бұрын
@@terrancecollins2232 Great Question, PROFIT is what it's all about, Revenue doesn't mean anything unless you have profit ! To be transparent, that first 6 figure agency was VERY expensive to grow, Matt made a ton of mistakes which increased his operating expenses to +50%. The company was profitable, but not as profitable as it should have been. However, since then, the agency has been restructured and now has very healthy margins.

I work hard at building a business doing what I love and get to 10k per month and decide it's time to go out and share my wisdom for a penny!!! Doesn't make sense to me. If you were content with the progress of building an agency then your goal would be to make the best and biggest in your locale. Because that's what my aim is to be; not taking advantage of those down trodden freelancers for the little money they're making. Com'on now! Your website looks so salezy it hurts the eyes..

What if you love training others just as much as you like running your own business? What if you make a healthy living but could double it by providing training to others as well? I hear this argument quite a bit and I simply don’t get it

I always appreciate a reply to an objectionable comment! I am wondering if Apple would be in the position it's in if they went around training everybody to do what they do. Yes, it's okay to give back to others for charitable cause but I also believe that an agency is created out of personal growth. I live 5 miles from 2 major marketing agencies in Boston USA (Amp Agency and 451 Agency). They are my motivation. I study them to see how I can grow my small business to their size (200+ employees). I don't think I can learn that from a bootcamp, right? I will hone my skills, pound the pavement and hire very qualified staff to achieve those ends.
