It's possible to change your life by changing your perspective on the perceived obstacle. CeCe Olisa is a Lifestyle Blogger and Co-Founder of the CURVYcon, a convention celebrating body positivity and plus size fashion during New York Fashion Week. CeCe’s blog and KZfaq channel are dedicated to discussing fashion, fitness, dating, and life from a plus-size and body positive perspective.
CeCe creates wildly popular plus-size workout videos on her KZfaq channel, encouraging women to work out because they love their bodies, not because they hate their bodies. An expert in body positivity, CeCe recently partnered with SHAPE Magazine for the 2018 SHAPE women’s half-marathon, as an honoree among 13 notable female leaders. She is described as a “person who proves you can be fit at any size” by MTV.com, CeCe lives by her motto, “Don’t wait on your weight to live the life you want." Not sure how to apply these steps to me or if my issue is a perceived obstacle. I just want to be more confident in general. I visualize myself being free of my mind and overthinking so I can be open, friendly, confident and not care what others think. I want to be able to be funny, kind and outspoken to all people I meet. Instead of limiting myself based on how I imagine others perceptions of me. And also not let others comments impact me

Hmmm... where is a good place to find videos that can help you with your confidence and social skills? If only there was a site with free videos where you could get information like "How to overcome anxiety" "How to have great conversations" "How to build your confidence" "How to overcome approach anxiety" "How to ask better questions" "How to learn to dicipher body language" "How to quickly build rapport". If only there was a free video site like that on the web, then you'd have your problem licked in no time!

For me it's 1.Exercise ( more is better but also little is better than nothing) 2.Meditate once a day(for me at least 3 min) 3. At the end of the day write what you are thankful for 4. Write down your fears and when they occur and why you think they do 5. Go outside often 6.socialise 7.Only believe the profecies that empower you 8. Do what you are afraid of on a regular basis.

The line in the beginning “don’t wait on your weight to live the life you want” instantly blew me out of the water, that’s exactly why I haven’t put myself out there and do all the things I dream of. This will be the phrase I tell myself everyday until I stop seeing my weight as a indicator of my worth.

Hi! I also used to really struggle with this and I wanted to share what helped me. Everytime I caught my self comparing I would say one of these two (whichever applied): 1. Another girls beauty is not at the expense of my own. 2. Another person success is not at the expense of my own. Repeat it to yourself when you firm yourself comparing. Start to see other women as beautiful individuals not competition.

Many of us struggle with confidence on account of our body size and especially the negative stigma that is attached to being "full" (neither am I saying it's ok to fall way out of your BMI & be threatened with the risks associated)... but some of us will NEVER be skinny... I think social media is injecting loads of pain in us that a woman can only attain happiness/full potential if slim

I did step 4 first because I had a health scare and thought I was going to die. A health scare will really make you start living!! I put myself out there in a big way, joined a band and started singing in front of people. But, my perceived obstacles are still weight, age, and gracefullness. I guess my REAL obstacle is money, because if I could hire a stylist, makeup artist, and choreographer, plus a therapist, my perceived obstacles probably wouldn't be obstacles.

As a Muslim I think that no need to look around too much for an answer , the secret of self confidence is trusting god fully being close to him ( praying 🤲 and being grateful of all wat u got in this moment that ppl don’t ! it’s a life succes and a life changer , certainly you have to be also disciplined cuz with that life discipline you allow god to help you bigger ( like daily exercising , healthy food, organised weekly schedule about tasks to do , asking god to help you and dreaming big is a key ) change your words , positif affirmations daily for a whole month can radically change negativ person etc etc

Whoa! That was breathe taking. I am not a big girl but i am transferring those skills (steps) into my dream me. I am 'visualizing' where I want to be and the 'blocks' that are standing in my way. Eye opening Cece.....!! Thank you....

Me yelling at the people who kept telling CeCe to be smaller/skinnier. As a former teacher this breaks my heart that educators were so biased and short sighted. CeCe is perfectly 🤩 gorgeous 😍

Confidence is not a concrete characteristic. There are things we can do to influence our confidence level. Whether we realize it or not, we all go through waves of low and high confidence, depending on the scenario, or based on what else we’ve done that day. For some of us, it’s based on what we’re wearing or how we’re feeling. There are some situations that universally test our confidence more than others, but the good news is that you can build confidence.
