how do you get the pistons to the most neutral position? Mine won't go back in. I was able to get my old (very worn) pads out. But can't push the pistons in far enough to fit the new ones. Any advice?

You have to take off some brake fluid as new brake pads (or new brake rotor) are thicker. If you don’t do this you are unable to push brake caliper pistons in to fit new parts.

Some of us are introducing oil to our brake pads and rotor when washing the bike with a "scented" soap. I remove the front/rear brake pads after every bike wash, and then clean the pad face with brake cleaner/carb cleaner as well as the rotor. I then re-install the pads front and rear without removing any wheels, which is easy to do on a KTM or Husqvarna off road bike.

Is compressing forks few times enough to get them strait?

Why didn't you remove the 2 caliper bolts and remove from forks insted of taking the wheel off? That's more work in my mind.

Because some prefers to clean whole caliper and see if everything is OK.

Most people replace pads when they are worn out. By that time it is best to take the caliper pistons out, clean things up, and put in new seals if they are worn.
