Yea it makes you wonder how hypocritical we are (on an ethical level) by eating meat. Like just because we didn't pull the trigger doesn't mean the animal wasn't "done in" in such a way. By condoning it, I feel like (morally) that almost makes us an accessory to their klling/second order supporters. Obviously our intention is not to hurt them and depending on whatever conditions you have, your body might do well with animal-based proteins but I'm speaking mainly on an ethical level. If we saw them to be equal to us or the same as us in their existence, I doubt we would treat them by different standards than we'd treat each other. You wouldn't be friends with a mrderer or content with their actions, but in a way, it's exactly what we do as omnivores.

My point is people only get upset with animals being killed to be eaten when it’s shown to them and done by an individual and are perfectly complacent letting it happen behind closed doors. Why is there so much hate for this woman killing crawfish by boiling them (and first freezing them to put them to sleep!) and not for people doing recipes with pork which is killed in a similar way and is arguably more horrific and certainly less personal and with less respect to the animal. You can be a vegetarian that’s fine and good and you can disagree with this but why comment on this and not any other meat videos? Honestly it breaks my soul to see stuff like this. It baffles me how some people can torture an animal because they think it tastes a little better. But some people just lack that sort of empathy somehow. If others want to eat meat that is totally fine with me, but torturing an animal is horrific and completely unnecessary. I am someone that is spiritual and very connected to living things, I always imagine what it feels like to be them. But unfortunately many people lack that or don't care because they aren't the ones experiencing that pain.

The meat is bland. Gotta season crawfish boil water heavily so that the flavor can penetrate the shell to reach the meat. She made the butter sauce but crawfish isn’t like lobster and other salt water seafood, they’re harvested from fresh water and that’s why they need proper soaking and seasoning.
