I am not sure if this will work on the F150 or the F350 or up and if it works for different years.. If you try it and it does work let us know.

This worked on my 2011 F350, Diesel, SB. However, you must NOT use the "My Key" activated key or it will not work (Refer to Page 172 of the Owner's Manual.

Just tried it on my 2014 F150, and it does not work. I tried the 3 times buckling and unbuckling as well as the other suggestion for 9 times. The light went out and stayed out, but when I removed the key, reinserted it to check on the change, there was no change.
