You can draw all your stained glass patterns using Procreate! It is so easy and such a great way to quickly bring your ideas to life. This video shows you how to use the tools of Procreate to create a sketch from a photo and then make it into a finalized drawing that is ready for Photoshop or printing.

I do something very similar with Sketchbook but haven’t managed to adjust any of the pens to draw the lead and heart line (3 lines). Do you know of anything for the IPad suitable?

The most updated version that my computer can handle I’m not 100% sure what the specific number is

Do you have to have photoshop? I have a MacBook and I have something similar to procreate but not exactly.

You do not need photoshop if you do not plan on sizing up your line width. I use photoshop and procreate for 2 different things. I use procreate for drawing my patterns and I use photoshop to size everything up for printing. Definitely use a program that suits your design process best!

Is there a way to do with completely without photoshop? Also do you need to worry about the line width if you’re foiling?

I am not sure about not using photoshop. I never tried without it. You kind of need the measuring tools in it. I would definitely make a fairly skinny line for foil. If it’s too wide it might mess up your patterns pieces a bit.

So I tried it in procreate by drawing up my design, using that layer as a reference to fill it in on a separate layer. You’d have to play with brushes and size to figure out which works for foil or came but it cut out nicely on my Cricut

I’m doing research to try to figure out all this to print a pattern on vinyl with my Cricut. Other specialists say to make line width even by choosing Technical pen at 5% in Procreate before drawing your pattern.
