I'm a mesomorph. Everything she says about it is true. if I slack off for a few days I will gain but if I get back on I lose it all within those few days too. I gain fast but also lose fast too. my frame is medium. I can be 130 lbs and will never ever wear size small. I'm always medium in women and large in jr. I'm between size 4,6 and 8.

Sama Ty87 I’m in same boat! Ppl have commented that I have somewhat athletic shape (when was around 140 lbs in my late 20s), but I’ve even gone up to 160-170 lbs in past (the slacking off time & also b/c LOVE trying new foods- LOL). HIIT & low carb meal plans have helped me in the past few yrs (over 35) lose lbs at moderate rate. Discipline is a MUST for me, BUT it’s tough to achieve.

I'm an endomorph. All my fat is stored in my stomach, upper thighs, and upper back. I always do 30 mins cardio. Now I have to plan my workouts for each day

I am endomorph and this information is completely true for me. I HAVE to do cardio to see better results. I love to do supersets and compound movements, but I do not see obvious results in FAT LOSS without cardio but see results in MUSCLE GAIN. Carbs definitely play a huge role in whether or not I'll reach my goals in a considerable amount of time. If I increase my carbs intake it's harder for me to lose weight, but if I decrease my carbs intake I see results. Thank you so much for the helpful hints!

I am an endomorph & what she said is so true. I was 68kgs before and I am now currently 55kgs. When I was fat AF, I am so lazy doing workouts/I hate workouts. ✋ But when I finally started my "weight loss program" I did diet & cardio. No strength workouts or any, just cardio. My diet is consist of Breakfast-Oatmeal, Lunch-rice+protein, Dinner-Yogurt or Oatmeal again. I did everything for 5months. To make my long story short, I did loose weight. 13kgs in total and I am so glad that I made such decision. I'm still in progress of achieving my weight goal (50kgs) but I can really say that if you want change, it really does start with yourself. It is never easy tho, daaang! I have cheatdays too. A lot of cheats actually. 😂 But just keep the mind to the weight goal. Self descipline is key. Now I am slowly adding strength workouts in my routine along with cardio & diet. I subscribed to this channel bec. her vids are so helpful, sincere & relatable! 💖💖💖 More power Joanna! 👏

Claudian Fevrier it's the struggle. I just try to convince myself that donuts and cake are gross, but I can't so I meet myself half way and eat a macaron before I binge eat outta control while trying to eat healthy.

Try getting a check up because this might be caused by a disease.. Most stories I heard was that they couldnt lose weight because they had PCOS, etc. Goodluck with your weightloss journey!😊

You explained it so easily!! I've never been able to figure out what body type I have until now. I'm an endo, but like you said, not completely to the T. Recently learned that I'm a mesomorph, and that it's easy for me to yo-yo in weight. I think I need to find a more balanced lifestyle so that I don't either work out too much and eat too little when losing weight, and then let myself go and be lazy and gain back the weight. What efficiently worked for me was cardio/aerobics, since I always felt that strength training just makes me look bulkier when I want to look leaner.

I'm an endomorph and I actually lose weight moderately fast when I'm on a high protein, low carb diet, with combined strength training and cardio! I just need motivation to get back to a healthy regime. So this is legit and very helpful, these videos are so informative and simple to understand!

Potato goddess Haha. I have a high metabolism + an illness that makes me lose weight, so it is a bit of a struggle for me to stay at "underweight" and not hover down to "severely underweight and at risk of death". But I understand that it a struggle that not many people can relate to :P

im an endomorph,took me a lot of years to figure out what kind of diet and right exercise suits me and from 89kg,5'3..im 52lbs and im happy on my weight. Strength training and with a combo of HITT is what really worked for me and im planning on low carb,high protein,moderately fat diet now because im sensitive to carbs on which I just recently known. Goodluck. it's all about trial and error and finding what's suits for you.

Ok this is from a 12 year old who is 5”10 and 160 pounds and a girl. And an endomorph: 52 pounds for a 20 year old is EXTREMELY low. Like, most 12 year olds going through puberty are at least 90 pounds, short ones, but like me being very very tall I am of course high weighted. But I think you are becoming very unhealthy based on your description. I am concerned about your health at the moment because currently I believe that 52 pounds is unbelievable for a 20 year old. Please consider seeing a doctor for more help as I am no expert, but I for sure know that 52 pounds is NOT healthy and can be life threatening if you don’t treat yourself. I understand you are happy with your weight, but you should always be happy with your weight! I am 12 and extremely tall and 160 pounds and a girl, but I’m happy because I am healthy and the best person I can be. Please consider my thoughts as you should always be happy and do NOT ever change yourself because someone tells you to or if someone forces you, or even if you want to. As long as you are healthy in life, that is all that matters.

I am an endomorph and it is super duper difficult for me to loose weight. Especially now, when I have almost reached my goal. Single mistake in the meal dumps me back to one week. it's hard to eat about 45% of protein per day ! carbs are in every kind of food and they just get always about 42% of my diet. . can u please post us a full meal plan for the endomorph ?

Most of your carbs would have to comes from vegetables. Consider that on nutrition labels that they include dietary fiber into the total carb count. I was told to subtract the fiber out of that total. I think in terms of veggies spinach and avocado are very good sources of low-carb foods.

Try looking at low carb diet recipes. You dont need to stick to it completely, but they have pretty good stuff. (I really enjoyed chicken with garlic butter and spinach - sounds really simple but it is delicious! And there is a low carb cheeseburger casserole recipe wHich is just amazing!)

I usually eat eggs for breakfast, chicken or fish (without salt) and LOTS OF VEGGIES for lunch and for dinner I eat leftover lunch lol I LOST 7% BODY FAT I did a lot of cardio tho, worth it

Yup mesomorph I have jennifers body I have a butt and tall and not to thin but skinny and your completely right if u slack u gain wait but if you get back at execersing and eating healthy you can have a great body ! Finally I knew I'm not like my friends who never gain weight , but yet again I'm not like my friends who put so much work and have trouble keeping it off I might be lucky but I think a esophorph as well as the curvey body type are so attractive and very feminine !

don't worry, endomorphs don't suck. We are usually more athletic, like stronger... and we have curves!

I'm an endomorph now but seemed like an Ectomorph when I was younger until I started binge eating on unhealthy foods! Your videos are so informative and encouraging for me! Thanks Joanna! :)

You might just be ectomorph some ectomorph gain weight all over but once they take care they lose fast

Thanks for the info I’m an Endomorph! 💁🏽 I promise I can gain weight by looking at food! Once I begin a regimen I lose quickly and do well with keeping it off. What we eat really is crucial. I’ve found increase strength training has helped tone my body.

The thing that helped this was he celebrity reference photos. Knowing my physique is closer to Justin Bieber than it is to The Rock helps me see I'm ectomorphic and I do notice that when I am working out a lot and eating a lot of carbs and protein that's when I tend to look my best body-wise.

Jazz Gill that's not really how it works. The body types have to do with your body structure, not your weight.

uhh it doesn't work like that mesomorph has broader shoulders and gain fat everywhere, whereas endomorph gain fat mainly on their lower half..thats why its called "end"xD usually their face don't gain fat either

+Sel Destiny That's what you think. I'm an ectomorph and I want to be any of the other two types! Being an ectomorph can be a pain too. Too skinny and bony. Clothes sort of hang on you and if you're short, it's worse! you can't even find clothes your size (esp. bras)! yes, that happens. also, people think you are still in school and haven't hit puberty yet.lol. Also, putting on weight is a problem! so, i guess the only way is being healthy. ectomorphs should put on muscle mass. the others should maintain or lose weight.

I'm also ectomoprh. Once went to the gym, was in hospital a week later...xD I do love being and ectomorph, but it's not funny when your bones hurt if you sleep in bad position, sit in bad position and can't hold your own weight for too long (standing in bus or long walks hahaha) xD

I'm an endomorph....even more so since I had my daughter. Watching this video I'm glad I'm doing everything right :) I did struggle for a while, I had a csection so my tummy has been getting harder to get rid of. I got really far pretty well but food was my struggle (plus being stressed out and being emotional about my body). Now about a month ago I got a lot stricter about my diet, and my workouts are a good mix of cardio and strength (but mostly cardio liken you said). I've gotten amazing results! My bf is a endomorph too but doesn't believe in cardio just strength (only does push-ups) and doesn't eat too well, he says calories in vs calories out. I can't convince him :(

+Joanna Soh I am actually at the moment doing a 30 day total body burnout (on round 2) which is doing both strength and cardio in circuits or interval training. I've always done it like that. I tried to get him on board, but he's content with just doing push-ups but he has noticed my progress. Trying to help with his nutrition too, but he thinks I'm just pushing my insecurities on him. He says he's bulking. I don't know how else to approach it, lol.

For endomorphs like me, I would recommend green tea as it speeds the metabolism a bit and helps with quicker digestion

Mesomorph. Thanks for the video. I always wondered why it's very easy for me to lose weight. But I didn't lose body fat in certain areas. Now that I started exercising,I will maintain a balanced diet and focus on those parts only. This video had been a great help! Thank you!

Thanks Joanna! This was very helpful. I must be an endomorph because I have such wide feet that I can hardly find a pair of shoes that fit. I have a lot larger build than my friends who are the same height, but I think I'm a mix between that and a mesomorph.

Hi Joanna, I love your videos and love following your meal plans and fitness tips. I have a quick question. I think I am an Endo and I love doing group exercise classes at my gym. I was just wondering if this okay to do with my body type? I tend to do high intensity cardio, like step classes and also pump classes. Do you think the pump classes are a good option for an Endo or should I be doing more of the superset training you mentioned?

I'm an Endo-Meso-Mix. I loose fat fast, and build muscle fast but also can store fat fast, have a massive bone structure, breakout sometimes, and only gain fat on my bum & legs, my tummy stays flat..

That's so me too! I can gain a tiny bit of weight on my belly and waist if I have to work a lot and can't train + eating junk. But then in like a month of going back to a healthier routine the tiny belly is flat again, my thighs though take a loooot more time ^^"

Does my body type change with weight gain or weight loss? I've always been naturally thin, have small and narrow hands and feet and longer legs than torso, however due to lifestyle changes (to the worse) in the last couple of years I became overweight. Eat for the body type you want, your body would adjust to it aft some time. I recommend more protein and veggies tho. Carbs can be found in almost any food. Hope this helped a little... :D
