Thanks for the great vid. I just want to add that depending on the color of your button on the opener, you need to click the button different amounts of time. I was trying your three click and it didn't work on mine. For Yellow button, click once. For Purple Learn button click twice. For Red and Orange click three times. For Green learn buttons click four times. Hope this might help if someone is having the same problem as me.

Thank you! So many people skip the rolling code step in the instructions. Every 5 years or so I get a new Ford vehicle and forget this step. I struggle for a couple of hours trying and searching Google, then finally find the few people who explain everything.

Thank you! Got it to work with your help. Liked & Sub'd. **Note: my fob/clicker did not have the pin reset- cover removed for battery access and black button inside there was the reset. However, without watching your video I was not able to figure this part out! Thank you!

Mr. Locksmith thank you, my friend. My numerical keypad stopped controlling both of my doors. I can’t get it to work any longer but it blinks the way it’s supposed to when I hold down both the * and # keys like the programming instructions say to do. After that I hit the learn button on the opener then put in my 4 digit code then hit enter but... nothing. How much do you charge for a visit to the east coast.?? HAA

My garage opener is an old 1992 Liftmaster, back says 1140lm - when i push in the button a red light comes on. But no matter how long i hold it in the red light never goes out, blinks, nor any clicking sounds, or the regular lightbulb do anything. I can just hold the button for over a minute and the red light just stays on. Once i let go the red light will go out in about 30 seconds. But i can still use my garage door remote. It's still synced up. Trying to erase the codes inside the garage door opener/motor. We're having issues in neighborhood of ours and neighbors garage doors randomly opening. Appreciate it.

I have the Liftmaster garage door opener that is black with a black circle on top that has the 2 buttons to open/close the door and then a red type rectangle below it and has no light "bulb" like yours does. I didn't know why it wasn't working so I replaced the lithium battery in it. It still didn't work so I deduced that I may have to reprogram it. How do I do it if I don't have a light on it?

HELP! Clearing out all codes from the garage opener - I had held my finger on that button over three minutes. Trying the garage opener the door still works the codes haven't been erased. What is another way to clear all codes

I'm having the same problem. I tried doing the same thing but for some reason when I hold down learn button even up to 10-30 seconds I can't get it to erase codes from previous controller.

Great video, unfortunately I can't get my remote to program for the life of me, 8/01 production date. It is a security+ and the remote is a security+ 2.0, according to this video it should work.

So simple- even I can do it. One tip- to confirm remotes are wiped; press the big button. If it doesn’t work then your golden. If it does; repeat the process.

When I program the remote to the opener it takes 4 clicks to open and to close. I’ve tried different remotes and it’s the same result and I don’t understand why. I’ve cleared the memory of opener and reprogrammed remote and same result

@@24hrMrLocksmith I did. Thanks for replying but it does not work with every opener or door lift even if Liftmaster says it does. WE have a Liftmaster formula 1 and a liftmaster remote 893LM. One thing I did notice was there is a light bulb on each side of the liftmaster. The light bulb on the learn side will not work even with a new bulb.

Video title is misleading. It says "how to erase and program a garage door REMOTE". I need to erase my remote, not the opener. This video didn't help.
